To be honest... I can see that happening to him instead of dying - maybe to show people once again that Geass-abuse=Consequences; he uses his Geass once too often to protect his "Onii-san! :argh" and disappears from reality, trapped forever in a frozen time-space.

All joking aside, I'm of the opinion that his geass actually affects the minds of others withen a certain radius of him. Affecting their perception of time. basically allowing him to put people on pause while he haxs the shit outa them.

The big downside of just about any Geass it seems: it's wielder is destined to become lonely... Though, if just about every geass is sort of a "power of a ruler", then it might make sense, as kings are generally rather lonely... <_<.
