In episode three of season one, Lelouch makes a Japanese-styled promise to Nunnally that if there isn't world peace when she opens her eyes, he'll be forced to stick a thousand needles into his eye:lmao.

Edit: Oh nevermind, I read it wrong at my first go (It was apparently down his throat. Or possibly Nunnaly's throat? While still interesting, it's not that interesting anymore). Oh well, the point of it possibly being foreshadowing is still interesting, right?

Lol, you gave me a thought:

Lelouch wants to kill his father, Charles... (what if)(unlikely) C.C. was some reincarnation of Marianne? After reading this, what if he kills the father and shags the mother--finds out--and 'sticks a thousand needles into his eye' out of disgust, like Oedipus.

Very unlikely, but things like this make the series so interesting for me.
