Johnny Young Bosch as Lelouch... Awful choice. You can tell that he was picked on popularity alone - He doesn't sound anywhere near as intelligent as he needs to be to play Lelouch.

I don't like Johnny Yong Bosch that much but I don't mind if he is in Geass, just not as Lelouch. Ichigo voice aside, he just sounds stiff and lacks any emotion. I will say it again: Yuri Lowenthal should have been Lelouch and Johnny Yong Bosch should have been Suzaku. After seeing Yuri on Naruto and the Sasuke rescue arc, I know he can pull off much better angst than Johnny.

Oh geez... I feel bad for the voice actors; they've got big shoes to fill (I think Yuri Lowenthal once said that about voicing a popular character like Sasuke). While I agree that Johnny's voice isn't very smooth or fitting for Lelouch's voice, maybe he'll surprise us... C.C.'s voice is alright, and Nina's voice sounds like an exact replica (but it's very good).

To be honest, no one would of ever lived up to the japanese voices. So I always make sure not to get my hopes up for dubs, I dont watch them but sometimes I like to hear how some parts are done in english.

I really don't think any english voice actor could pull off that change from soft Lelouch to flamboyant Lelouch realisticly. It would sound really dumb in english :hoho

Suzaka sounds like a whiny bitch, its perfect. :kukuku

C.C sounds too young, but I hope the actress will keep her playfulness and the love for pizza in her voice.

If Crispen Freeman is Diethard it will be perfect at least :awesome

Well, Cornelia sounded fantastic, imo, judging from her .8 second screen time. C.C sounds okay but the rest suck. I was expecting something better from that (mostly) all star dubbing class. :(

No wonder C.C. sounded familiar. She's the same person who plays Sakura on the Naruto Dub. This sickens me. :yell

The person that plays Karen voices Soifon in Bleach Dub which isn't bad.

Suzaku is voiced by Yuri who plays Sasuke on the dub which isn't really half bad either.

Gah, the voices are horrible. They don't match the characters well. And Lowenthal should have been Lelouch, not Suzaku although he's fit for that role as well. Bosch's voice doesn't suit the anti-hero type of character. Actually they should have switched roles. Lowenthal as Lelouch and Bosch as Suzaku. C.C.'s voice doesn't fit as well.

Ew x10 at Lelouch's voice. Not hot, smooth, or sexy enough. Sounds too rough and like Ichigo.

C.C. sounds too young. Suzaku's okay, but sounds kinda like Sasuke. Cornelia is actually pretty good. Funny how Nina's probably the best out of the bunch.

Main cast voices need some work, especially Lulu. Other than that, the support characters' voices seem fine out of the ones heard in the trailer.

Suzaku isn't bad.

CC sounded much better in the first trailer. Perhaps she will be much better when she's serious then when she just is talking like there.

But fuck, why couldn't they at least have gotten Light instead of Ichigo. FFS, Ichigo's voice just doesn't fit his character. :C

Cornelia's voice fits her but i just don't like it. C.C.'s too young. Lelouch doesn't sound half bad but after hearing Fukuyama Jun's Lelouch, it just isn't the same thing. Suzaku's not bad as well.

To be fair, only Lelouch's voice was awful. The problem, however, is that the Lelouch's voice is the most important out of the lot.

Johnny Young Bosch is a cool guy and I like him, but he simply doesn't have the right voice to play a character like Lelouch - He can play the ladies man or idiot type, not the future world leader type. Hearing him as Lelouch simply sounds ALL wrong.

I noticed that the voice actor who played Georg Prime in Suikoden V, Ovan in .hack//G.U. (games) and Edmund Dantes in Gankutsuou did the trailer promotion (including saying ge-ass)... I hope he plays a role in Code Geass; he's an excellent voice actor.

I just hope it gets released in the UK at some stage - I really want the box set.

It's just a shame Beez will no doubt license it, selling the box set for around £60 or 2x £30 box sets...like they do all popular 25-26 episode shows. I don't like the idea of paying that much when anime never has any decent extras (If any at all)...

I suppose it might turn out to be cheaper to import the future R1 set, with the UK customs limit soon being raised from £18 to £118. :)

I'm with you guys other than that. Lelouch and CC are on and off (more off) and Nina was superb.

Even though the trailers make me tingle in the awkwardness, I can't help but look forward to this weekend. 3 animes that I love ...in a row... such a feat has never taken place on adult swim before.

The more that I rewatch the dubbed trailer,the more I learn to come to terms and actually kinda-almost-like the sound of Lelouch's dubbed voice,but something definetly has to be done about C.C.'s voice. It's to kiddish,and C.C. should have a slightly deeper tone than that.

Heh yeah even I who has only watched 2 episodes of the series can tell their voice dont match perfectly. But after hearing Lelouch I can say they way he sounds in Japanese isn't something anyone can match because its so original in my opinion. Everyone else in the Dub seems fine since I haven't gotten used to the original voices so I'm safe until I watch the subs later.

Some clips from the show, gives you a better idea of what they sound like. I don't hate the voices. Even though I don't listen to dubs I find this one not that bad.
Kallens voice, I'm not sure about Kallens voice. It is similar to the japanese voice but not sure it translates well to the english version.

So far...

Lelouch = Same voice actor as Kuhn from .hack//G.U.
Suzaku = Same voice actor as Haseo from .hack//G.U.
Diethard = Same voice actor as Ovan from .hack//G.U.
Jermiah = Same voice actor as Sakaki from .hack//G.U.

There really is only a tiny amount of talented American voice actors/actresses.

Yuri fits Suzaku well and the guy who's doing Jeremiah is probably the best choice for his character. Jamieson Price is my favourite English voice actor, so I have faith he'll at least do a decent job as Diethard.

Johnny still sounds HORRIBLE as Lelouch, bad enough to ruin it. Kallen also sounds pretty bad.

Just finished watching. It turned out to be a very good dub.

Johnny wasn't as bad as I thought he would be; he sounded worse on the trailers due to only the dramatic stuff being said. He's still a bad choice for the role, only picked on popularity, but I think he'll be bearable.

My only other issue is with the woman who voices Kallen; she sounds like an old slapper. ;__;

I'm looking forward to Diethard getting some lines later: I want to hear more of Jamieson Price, a much over-looked voice actor.

That's not bad if you're 50. I rewatched the 5th episode last night and I realized how awkward it was to have like 4 shows on that have the same main guy with the same voice.
