I just noticed this while BS'ing around, and I guess someone brought it up already most likely:

That's from OP3 of the first season. C.C., with a gun, by the Sword of Akasha. We could already assume the Sword had something to do with the "witches," but does this foreshadow a final showdown at the Sword, perhaps? I have a feeling everything will go much deeper than freeing Japan and fighting Britannia.

Well, most likely ít goes deeper tha that, yeah. I did hear someone throw forth a theory that the emperor is really trying to save the earth from the evil aliens (= CC's people or whatever; those that we see in her visions, sorta), hence why he's trying to conquer the whole earth and captue CC.. <_<.

Why does everyone assume C.C. and her kind are evil?

I don't. :oh
But it's certainly a possibility. We certainly don't know much about her - or VV's - true purposes...

If you were talking about me, I wasn't assuming that at all..perhaps "witches" has a negative connotation, but the people and cultural facets it describes are not inherently evil.

I hate speculation about that stuff but that's definitely one of the things I'm looking forward to the most: an explanation of that place and the origin of the geass givers. The subtle mysteries of CG is a big part of what makes it so appealing.

Don't know where the final showdown's going to be but no doubt it'll be amazing.

Lord Genome????? C.C. is a Anti-Spiral!!!

I couldn't help but think of that when I read that.....

The one thing about a final showdown being there, is it seems a bit small for mecha's, a gun fight isn't practical, and a Geass fight as well doesn't seem to work. Sure, most likely at the end alot of plot will come forth at that place, but I don't see a "showdown" happening there.

If C.C. and her kind were evil, then why don't they just give Geass in mass to people, and use them to take over what they need, then get rid of them, or even just use them? Why depend on one person at a time? Hell, they don't seem to die, they could just charge in mass and its a numbers game with immortals on one side, which makes its kinda hard to beat them seeing as they don't die.

All I hope is they don't leave lose ends. I want to know the origins of Geass in full.

:laugh . Well, who knows.. I'm skeptical to nthat theory anyway, because we know next to nothing about CC and her kind...

Well, it could theorically actually be a sort of game between immortals because, as you may have noticed, VV and CC seems to choose outstanding or rather ambitious men, men who could become "kings", sorta, to grant Geass to. But why is that, one wonders? Well, one theory is that they're both working together towards some goal (and if so it'd probably truly make them enemies of mankind). However, if we assume that they're each other's enemies.. Then I sort of wonder if they as well as those they choose are not unlike the white prophet and the catalyst in Robin Hobb's The Farseer & The Tawny man trilogies... <_<.

All I hope is they don't leave lose ends. I want to know the origins of Geass in full.

I hope for the same...

There is something I would like to clarify for myself...

is V.V. a boy or a girl?

To me, V.V. has a girly face but a boyish body.

Maybe, V.V. is androgynous.

Also, Akasha is an indian term. I am originally from Bangaladesh (a country next to India) and "Akasha" is a variation of "akash" which means sky. "Akasha" can also mean the very basis/essence of everything.

And that fits, the temple is in the sky set around sunrise/sunset. Also, the temple could be the key to the entire struggle. And like I someone suggested, I think Code Geass will eventually evolve to be something more than just a Lelouch's attempts to destroy Britannica.

Read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akasha

It is pretty accurate; and a short, informative read.

Another one of the mysteries of CG /rolls eyes. Still I agree, the explanation of the Akasha will be interesting and I hope to see a cool show down there. As for the Emperor saving everyone- I doubt it.

The most likely thing to me is what they said about killing the gods.

My thoughts are that at the Sword, you can kill them and they stay dead. Instead of being able to come back like CC does.
