[Episode 3] Rollo is becoming one of my favorite characters

I am really starting to like this guy. This thread isn't about his power, but the analysis of the character. First off, you can pretty much tell that Rollo wants to believe in Lelouch. Rollo really does, in my mind, love Lelouch like a brother. I think most of us already guessed that Rollo is infatuated with that little locket Lelouch gave him on his 'birthday'.

I think we can all agree that Rollo has no date of birth or doesn't know his birthday. He seemed to feel that this was the only present anyone has given him. I'm guessing that Rollo was raised like an animal or a soldier of war and that's the only thing he was produced to do. He's also been a ███ of some sort and never really got to live his own life.

I'm guessing he can't kill Lelouch; I mean, next episode Lelouch is shown away from Rollo, and Rollo is in his mecha. I'm guessing that he doesn't want to kill his 'brother', and he is sick of being treated like a slave by the Empire.

Oh, and he killed a guy with stopping time.

What a badass.

Not true, we may get some kind of interference, i.e. Rollo loses control of his Geass. However I agree that it is most likely that Rollo will join Lelouch, or at least sympathize with him, and not kill him.

I think Rollo will join Lelouch for the time being, while he believes he's related to him and is loved by him. I think Lelouch can still work that angle despite what he said to Rollo as he pointed a gun to his head and talked about Nunally.

But he is a badass and if he ever properly turned against Lelouch, it would throw a huge spanner in the works. So I think Lelouch will "use" him somewhat and then at some inopertune time the truth will out, he'll go bat shit crazy and try and kill Lelouch properly.

That's just a guess, for all we know Suzaku from 10 years in the future could run in and spin kick the gun out of Rollo's hand and then vanish just before finishing some cryptic Geass related message.

Rollo is growing on me. Not only because he looks like he could be Nunally's twin. But I don't think he just joins Lelouch. He seems more the wildcard in the whole thing. I'd say he'd be a third power, but the Chinese Federation looks to be sowing that up. What's behind his reaction to that locket is going to be interesting though.

The two scenes in this ep which made me immensly more interested in him were the time stop stabbing and his reaction to the locket. No matter which way his character turns out over the series its going to be fun to watch :nod

Possibly, but I don't know; the Suzaku case fits more in here; the main character's best friend who becomes his enemy for the rest of the show but sort of forgives/is forgiven by the main character and joins forces with him in the end.. <_<.

Rollo is definitely an intriguing character. Great knife skills, lol. I like him now, I want to see how he will be used.

The biggest thing I walked away from episode 3 with...is a belief that Rollo will be playing the role of Zero at some point. Lelouch isn't going to be able to get rid of his surveillance...they are going to be bothering him all season. I don't think his cover will be blown this early. He needs someone to act as Zero in his behalf. CC isn't a bad choice, but Rollo is a better pilot...and that's going to be needed. In episode 4...Zero needs to be able to win a Knightmare Frame battle...Rollo is the perfect man for the job.
