I assume Lloyd came and calmed her down.

Anyway, I never minded her. She's not a very attractive chatacter, but she's a lesbian, which makes her okay in my book. Anyone who likes girls can't be all bad.

Hot lesbians are win. Ugly lesbians...not so much.

And I just disliked her fear and hate to Elevens. I dunno, blatantly racist characters just piss me off.

There are two types of lesbians: The honoust ones and the perverts

Nina falls in the second category, you don't fall in love with someone you never even really met. Her obsession with Britannian royalty is just the same, perverted. And of course frustrated at that.

By the way, I can name ample of bad lesbian women so wouldn't call that a decent argument.:wink

I think Nina's over-hated just like Suzaku. Her psychoness and racistness is a turn off but her character isn't that bad overall. She's a pretty typical over emotional high schooler. She'd get so much more love if she looked like Kallen.

Hot lesbians are win. Ugly lesbians...not so much.

Well that would mean you'd have to hate all of Britannia, including Villetta and Cornelia (to an extent).

You, sir, are biased.
Just about every relationship in anime is one-sided. Many of them are from people who don't really know their infatuation adequately. "Love at first sight" is considered romantic usually. Not only did she meet Euphie, but Euphie saved her life. Because you don't like Nina - or perhaps because she's gay - you call it perverted?

Come on now.

That's just like any guy who jacks off to a celeb. Seriously, anyone's who's done that is no different from Nina.

Wait can you even call that love?. Jerking off to a celebrity is NOT love.
I like Scarlett Johansson but i wouldnt go to her house to annoy her.
I dont know what you may call that, but is no good.

Some people just realize that nina's feelings are not pure, and she even recognized that, like when nunally was talking about it the kind of people that would meet the princess, she knew.

But that is the LESS of my concerns with nina.
She being annoying and racist on the other hand.

Huh?

Oh dear, if I had a nickle for every time I try to nuance something and someone calls me biased... Aren't we just jumping into the defensive here for the sake of not having one word whatsoever go against any lesbian in the world?

Just about every relationship in anime is one-sided? Just about every relationship in anime is incredibly deep, that's why I can actually stand romantic anime shows.

Many of them are from people who don't really know their infatuation adequately. "Love at first sight" is considered romantic usually.

I would say exactly those two phrases to 70-99% of the young couples that currently walk the Western streets, both gay and straight. What do you mean by them anyway?

Not only did she meet Euphie, but Euphie saved her life. Because you don't like Nina - or perhaps because she's gay - you call it perverted?

I call her perverted because before that happened, she was already pro-Britannian royalty, Euphie in particular. After a meet & greet, she becomes obsessed. Not to mention most anime shows show a great degree of abstinence when true love is involved. Nina *********** should tell you something.

That Euphie saved her life is first of all not something she should take personally (Euphie wanted to save everybody) and it's also no reason to show affection in any way. Gratitude, sure, but that's no gratitude Nina!

I would still bang Nina dressed up in a Zero costume. Who's with me?

No but I would like to date that girl in your sig. :amuse

Lurk moar.

You hate nina because she's ugly and annoying, which she is, so you're making up all this insane tripe to justify your hatred beyond your shallow reasoning.

It's anime; shallow reasoning is all you need. If Kallen wasn't hot, she wouldn't be anywhere near my 2nd favorite character.

Oni
04-18-2008, 04:32 PM
Ehrm, will you say exactly that to all the people dissing Nina here?

Also, watch your words would you. It's anime. The difference between anime and Hollywood entertainment is that anime actually is deep! Perhaps you can't see it, but I can, and others who know about philosophy (or even just use their brains to analyse a series) can too.

I watch Code Geass because it's incredibly deep and politically inspired. I'm active in politics myself, and Code Geass really gets me thinking about a variety of topics.

If you are so shallow to pay attention to fanservice, then go ahead, I won't stop you. But don't go about being a smartmouth, because your last reply really bumps you into the wall.

("It's anime, shallow reasoning is all you need" must have been the biggest insult toward anime I have ever heard.)

I hate Nina because she's a naive psychopath who is obsessed with something morally wrong. Looks have nothing to do with it. And you know why? Because that would be bias!

Sorry, I couldn't hear you over the sound of mai roflcopter

it goes SOISOISOISOISOISOISOI

P.S. There's no such thing as historical corporate gramscism, I have no idea where you got that from. Gramscism itself is an obscure German word from a naziist author which doesn't mean anything even remotely relevant to Geass.

Oni
04-18-2008, 05:29 PM
No of course you don't understand. Code Geass' geopolitical reality is what I define as such. And what the hell, Gramsci was an Italian marxist!

Nina? Well, can't say I took a liking to her; just found her to be generally annoying and fail :noworry . In season one lots of things about her got on my nerves; how she was so scared of japanese, treating them as some sort of dangerous animals, her attitude in general and let's not even get into her obession with Euphie.. :doh

Still she only makes it to third place on my list of disliked characters of the show, so.. :laugh . Anyway, I can't say I'm expecting anything good from her in this season... :oh
