i need help im tryin 2 get my freind into one piece problem is that he has seen the Dub 4kids verison i tried to tell him its to complety different shows and i tried to explain this isnt a kid show any suggestions?

Erase his memory. I recommend a Neuralizer from Men in Black, but a brick to the head works just as well. Then he can watch the good version without bias.

Seriously though, tell him it is indeed a totally different show, and that 4Kids butchered it beyond recognition. And that it is one of the top Shonen titles, so it deserves a second chance.

Show him some of those vids on youtube that compare the dub to the anime. Especially Sanji's lolipop...That one got my friend to understand.

Just show him and tell him of some of your favorite moments. Awhile back, I showed my friend an AMV of Luffy vs. Enel, and also later on brought up Zoro vs Mr. 1. Now he's hooked like I am. :argh (It also probably helped that I kept reminding to actually check it out...)

In your case, I definitely recommend showing him the comparison vidoes.

Perhaps show him some cool AMVs, video clips, gif images. Email him some OP videos or maybe tell him of some of your favorite fight. Pester him nonstop until he has to see it (That's how I got into Samurai Champloo).

If all else fails, just slap him in the face and hope he listenes. Seriously :notrust

yeah , i have the same problem as the guy at the top. my friends all say one piece is " gay" and/or "retarded" because the animation is "gay looking " or somthing of that sort and its for kids. but then they go on and tell me how good bleach is and praise it for being gods gift to anime fans. i got so fed up with them calling it "one gay" i just started telling them manga spoilers from bleach and naruto

Yeah, that scene is my favorite. Probably THE best in all of OP. I mean, there are a whole bunch of cool scenes like this in the show, but if that vid doesn't show convince people of the bad-assery of OP, you can probably only find 2 others with an equal impact. If that stuff doesn't work, hell, nothing will.

Yeah I like a lot of other scenes in OP, but that scene hooked me on OP. Also there isn't any huge spoilers in that scene. Sure you could show the "Robin: I want to live scene" but that would be to many spoilers. As is the case with most of the other great clips.

Nope, I think when you get them to the Arlong Arc it's OVER. Just shoot yourself if you stop watching then.

Also, I am watching a show that my friend keeps telling me is good in return for him watching One Piece. Something called Blue Gender, not sure what it is lol

I actually almost lasted till' Wapol's defeat with 4kids until I couldn't stand it anymore. Then my friend introduced me to real One Piece. Granted I missed most of the Arlong arc...

Anyways my advice to you is to keep bugging him about t until one day he's bored and checks it out.
