Ok, does anyone else here get kind of annoyed when people talk about how weak Orihime is compared to Rukia? It always irritates me when people bring this up because it is just not true at all...

In the first chapter of Bleach we saw first hand exactly how strong Rukia is. With a full swing of her sword, and all of her weight behind the attack, Rukia could barely scratch an arm that Ichigo was able to sever in the instant he became a shinigami. And then we see her strength again in the SS arc when Rukia basically gives up the will to live and admits complete defeat...

Orihime, on the other hand, was easily able to defeat a hollow head on with absolutely no training, and now has awesome Vice Captain level, time/space manipulating healing and shielding abilities. She is also extremely determined in her drive to help Ichigo, and she put her life on the line to save Rukia.

While Rukia's sacrifice to go to SS alone to protect Ichigo was admirable in spirit, if she understood Ichigo half as well as Inoue does she would have known that leaving to protect Ichigo was probably the worst thing she could have done (all it really accomplished was bring Ichigo and co. into SS where countless Shinigami were out to kill them).

Maybe it is just me, but I just feel that many people give Rukia a lot of leeway, but then turn around and hardly give Orihime a chance.

As for notme, I totally agree. I hate to say this but Rukia fans are WAAAAAAAAAY to mean to Orihime when she becomes a threat to IchiRuki. If you don't believe me, go to the many Bleach forums (I recommend Bleach Portal and Bleach7). From both of these, I have seen that not a lot of love is for our Hime. This really pisses me off. Am I the only one that doesn't see her "mary-sue" tendencies (as they claim she does have) and isn't a fan of her because of her big breasts? It's really sad how she has a lot of haters and no real lovers. I feel like a small minority now. :cry

The Anti-Orihime FC in Bleach Portal made me fall over in laughter due to it's lack of logical or canon reason to fault Orihime. It's basically filled with ridiculous excuses of IchigoxRukia lovers who are simply see Orihime as a threat to the ship so bashing her is the only way they can "fix" the problem. Now I love Ichigo x Rukia (as well as Inoue x Ichigo :D) and like Orihime at the same time and almost all the supposed "reasons" they use to fault Orihime are stupid.

Orihime is somewhat like Tohru from Furuba (Always seeking to help people)and the fact they call her a Mary Sue (Of all things!!! :sighs) when she clearly has many faults not only makes the ship I like (I x R) look bad and unbelievably shallow, but also totally shows total disregard of the friendship Inoue/Rukia and Ichigo have together which is (almost) a central theme recently.:notrust

If I remember correctly there were 2 barriers (barrier… shield… what ever was it named… ) which that pink haired guy made and Ichigo broke one of them. That still leaves 1 barrier.

As for the question......M7's translation added the word 'can still'. That two words meant a lot to Orihime fans. That meant that even before Ichigo emerged from the inner barrier, long before that, Orihime could still able to detect Ichigo's reiatsu (if she concerntrated hard enough).

This was posted before M7's translation came out. It's from Djudge......

Well, technically there are indeed two, however they both serve the same purpose in insulating against bursts of reiatsu from broadcasting out to the rest of the world. I just went ahead and lumped them together since the task at hand is pretty much over now that Ichigo's regained control over his body.

EDITL Either way, once there's a page for that part of Orihime's monologue, then we can take into context just what she's thinking about when she states her analysis of Ichigo's reiatsu (whether it's something in the past or something that happens just then).

I can’t draw that good. But anyway, does this mean that she has a weird connection to Ichigo (because her powers were awakened by Ichigo) or are her powers increasing (note: she can sense his reiatsu when it is blocked by a barrier/shield and her power is making shields)?

Nope, it's as fine as it should be.

Perhaps KT just wanted to show the 'love' connection between Inoue and Ichigo.

But maybe as you say, her powers has grown stronger, since she a non-shinigami could detect Ichigo's reiatsu much better than an ordinary shinigami would. But give the chance to Hitsugaya.....he may be able to detect Ichigo's reiatsu better.

Or maybe it's because of the weird television Hitsugaya installed in her home.......you know that giant television antena. The radio waves could have influenced Orihime-san to just be intune to Ichigo's waves.

This is my humble opinion..... KT LOVES ICHIGO TOO MUCH.

First.....Hitsugaya doesn't strike to me as someone who ever cares at all about Ichigo. Ichigo is just a substitute shinigami. So I don't think Hitsugaya ever tells to SS, 'hey our substitute shinigami is missing.'

And come to think about it, if ever Hitsugaya did tell Yamamoto about the missing shinigami, Yama-jii would have told to Inoue to 'GO AND FIND ICHIGO NOW'. nope he just say, 'tell this to Ichigo.' There is a difference.

What I don't like about this chapter is the fact that KT roped in Inoue to know about this firsthand from Yamamoto. Inoue Orihime is just a non-shinigami. She doesn't even fight!!! She is considered in any battle tactics to be 'an innocent bystander/civilian' that shouldn't be told about any plans of the enemies, lest she would panicked and hysteria. A good commander (Yamamoto strikes to me as one) would keep this secret to the few people whom he knew to be able to act....not to just any bystanders, for fear of leaking it out. 500000 souls are at stake!! Last thing we would ever want in a well planned strike out strategy is to have our base filled with chaos and confusion. Yamamoto should have told the whole thing to Hitsugaya and Matsumoto and then instructed them to tell it to the shinigamis and Ichigo, but why must Yamamoto tell it to Orihime also??

I can only think of two reasonable answers that KT might give about letting Inoue to know from Yamamoto. There is more to it than Orihime just being the healer in the story. She might be the alternate key leading to Aizen's Royal Family. Or Yamamoto is an IchiHime shipper. That and also KT.:notrust

Must say something together also. Of all the other Bleach characters, I have to say this.....Orihime is weak. She will always need someone to fight protecting her (that's where all the Bleach male come in). Which is why I am led to believe that the reason why she could sense Ichigo's reiatsu was because she really have hots for Ichigo. Not because she is strong in detecting people's reiatsu. Ask her to detect Tatsuki and Ishida's reiatsu and find them....she could not. Remember....Orihime is the only anime (I say anime/manga) female HUMAN character that can SMELL her partner. (That's what makes me an IchiHime fan, because Orihime could smell easily Ichigo's scent).

Why Yamamoto told Inoue about Aizens goal?:

Well Yamamoto said that this involves humans too so that way KT has a reason to tell her. On the other hand this gives a good reason why characters like Tatsuki will get the spot light and we will see their powers eventually because of this. I disagree with Asam about that they shouldn't have told Inoue about the situation. A) How many people would believe her if she would start screaming "Hollows are coming". B) Matsumoto and Hitsugaya are there with her if she starts panicking. C) So what if she isn't a good fighter. She is a human and she is a healer so she should be told why people are in danger and why she must use her powers. And let’s not forget that Aizen will start moving in just four months. There isn’t much time to hide the fact that Aizen is going to attack because it would take time from preparations. If all the shinigamis popped in your town you would start thinking "what is going on?". People are in danger so why not tell those who have the power to fight for the people they care and to prepare for war (And this number is quite small).

Orihime's spiritual sense seems to be almost completely in regards to Ichigo... She can not only sense where Ichigo is, but can also tell just how well and what exactly he is doing. That is a crazy amount of intuition when it comes to Ichigo, and I seriously doubt she can read anyone else nearly as well.

I really despised Ichigo for his character/nature. Everything is Kubo Tite given to him. Anybody who thought Ichigo and Naruto are two same people.....are really blind to see Ichigo is that evil fellow.

I have nothing wrong against Rukia, until I met her fans. They are the reasons why I hate Rukia.

I don't mind Ichigo and Rukia together. IMO, they are match made in hell. I can imagine Ichigo suffering with Rukia by his side. And I want to see Ichigo suffer. He shouldn't have someone who adores him totally like Orihime by his side.

I like Inoue Orihime much better than I like Lacus Clyne. Lacus Clyne is cheerfully perfect, unlike Inoue Orihime who is always optimistic, cheerful, warm but has some flaws that make her very endearing. You know.....loves to eat weird stuffs, daydreaming some totally out of this world....having weird but profound statements that you don't get the clever people saying it.

She is perfect in the characters of a dream girl that a boy want....yet is imperfect which is reasonable for a teenager girl. The thing is, it is her imperfect flaws that made her more likeable to some others.

Lacus Clyne is too perfect and matured and wise for a girl of her age, and she has everything served to her in the silver platter.....and that really puts me off.

Orihime doesn't have everything served to her nicely. She is alone in the house, doesn't really get fully Kurosaki Ichigo's attention.....yet she doesn't mind, cause she is happy to stay where she is as long as others and especially Ichigo is happy.

Well, since there is so much happening in the manga about Inoue now, I wonder why people aren't discussing about it.
