I've used the search function and haven't seen a decent thread about this delicious music style yet.
Who else is into it?
I'm not sure if it's populair in the states or anywhere else then the Netherlands, Germany and Italy.
But just curious...

I've been listening to it for a few years now.
Visitting all the great parties I can, and going to a club in my hometown atleast 3 times a month (where great DJ's are almost every week).

So, for the people who listen to hardcore or hardstyle, let me know which are your favorite artists and share some music video's in this thread. :)

I fucking can't stand hard dance unless they take out the retarded distorted synthetic kick that seems to be a necessity.

I don't mind some of Yoji Biomehanika stuff, but it seems to be more of his acid hard techno type stuff.

There are not very many people on this board who are really into electronica, so subgenre threads do not provoke alot of discussion. I tried with actual Techno, and until I get a good pimp together for that, not many people even knew what the style was.

I mean no offense to the members on this board, I am sure there loads of subgenres of hip hop i know little about.

Also, this board is mostly North American, and hardstyle and hardcore have little popularity relative to other styles. Trance, House and some Breaks are really the only genres you can hear going out with some regularity. For example, the city I live in has close to a million people, we have one hardcore dj I know of that plays out. Similarily there are not very many jungle dj's nor for techno.

I listened to the sample, and it was tolerable until 2:00 with that god awful clown kick. This is just my opinion, but that kick sound prevents me from liking the stuff.

i for one have a soft-spot for gabba/hardstyle/speedcore. I even pimped some speedcore here on the board which took quite well XD

I like Hardcore/Hardstyle, but havent been listening to it lately.
I go to party's like: Sensation Black (4times), Mystery Land, Qrime Time.
The Dj's I prefer are the ones who play the so called genre "oldskool" Vince, Darkraver, Gizmo, Buzz Fuzz, Dano and Paul.
The Hardstyle Dj's I prefer the most are The Prophet, Dana, Yoji Biomehanika, Zany and some more.

You actually get laughed at where I'm from if you listen to trance.
All you hear when going out is either Hardcore, Hardstyle or Jump.
You could most compare these to Hardhouse I guess...

Favorite DJ's of the moment are Headhunterz, Noisekick, Angernoizer and Meccano Twins.

I don't even really like Trance that much, it is my least favourite subgenre besides anything Hard. I do not know where you got the idea I was all about the trance. :mad just joking

But really what made you think I was really into trance qua trance. Yoji is classified as hardstyle to my knowledge, and I said I liked techno which is very different than trance.

I mainly listen to jungle, techno, dubstep and tech house.
