Its not to smart to be saying that you use it, yet its illegal. :sag
And yes I know what it is, but its stupid.

I thought emulators were legal, but downloading a game you don't own for more than 24hrs was illegal. Whatever
I haven't played it but I used to have a ZSNES emulator, and that worked really well. I'm not sure how well the 64 one would work because you would probably have to buy a controller. And I still have a 64 anyways(hurrah!!!).

Well, despite the fact that it's quite hypocritical strange to invoke a copyright debate in an Anime/manga forum, of all, in the first place: The emulator per se is certainly not illegal; and which ROMs one may or may not acquire via however dubious sources is not the topic here.
I've had some experiences with Project 64 (and VisualBoy Advance and ZNES as well, while we're at it), although I've never really used it all that much- I still have my old N64 lying around somewhere, after all. I used it mainly as a funny patience game of some sort, because I actually only used the keyboard as input device. Nothing for the faint-hearted.
Overall, a nice little program, which just simply doesn't happen to be of enough use for me to win against such springs of sweet nostalgia like ZNES.
Also, this thread should theoretically go into the Gaming Department, methinks.

Moved to right section.
Lol @ people calling it illegal when they download illegal anime and manga and probably other illegal things over bittorrent.
It's not bad, but it has glitches. And of course, controls can be a pain if you prefer to use a joypad. Nintendo 64 Controllers has a lot of buttons.

It stinks entirely. And the emulator is infamous for having problems and bugs if you play certain games on it.

Thats why there are plugins, stuff you tweak per game, because different games have different demands on the emulator.
That's why certain games on the shitty, power-hog of a PS2 emulator can be fully played, yet some can't even run well past the start screen.
It's an emulator..so it's illegal.
I lol'd. You are incorrect sir. Downloading copyrighted games is.
Most of the games work on PJ64, some do have issues here and there however. The same with ePSXe and it having issues with than random battle effect in FF7-9.
I use a 360 controller for the emulator, so it works well.
Though, on the hand of emulators, I do think ZSNES is the best dog in the house.

Project 64 is good. It was my main source of entertainment for like 2 months when I broke my leg. So if your very bored its very entertaining.

The only game I played on the PJ64 was Pokemon Stadium and that was running pretty decent for a emulator with a few crashes here and there...that was at least 7 years ago though. I'm not up to date with the emulators anymore, are they still running strong in the community? <_<
