I needed it, as for some reason I decided it was a good idea not to rehearse or even decide what to talk about! I think it went quite well, though. Sufficiently well that the only glaring issue with the talk was the same as the issue with the essay – not enough basic physics/mathematics to put into the discussion. So I want to kill the person that made up the schedule for my associates degree. It's an inhuman schedule.

Not because it's difficult or hard mind you - - just because of the times of the classes.

I have one class that's 5 days a week and it's from 10 am to noon.

Monday, wednesday and friday I have a class from 8 am to 10 am.

Those two are meant to be taken together, so basically 3 days out of the week I have to be at class from 8 to noon. Which is not bad - - nothing about those 2 classes is really that hard.

Then I have to take certain specified General Ed. classes that work towards my major - - none of which are individually hard (Medical Terminology, Legal Terminology, business english)

However, all of those classes are ONLY offered at 6 PM.

So I literally have to be up at 6 am to get to class ready, and then I have to be at another one at 6 pm (I can go home between them).

I mean... that's a 12 hour period to go to classes and I still have to find time to study and sleep for all of them. It's just stupid!

So I'm working the system now. The college I'm going to has a sister college, I sign up for my classes online and they 2 colleges share the same system for it. They even both share the same transcript system and if I'm registered for one, I'm registered for the other.

So I'm going to see if they offer the classes at a more reasonable time at the other college later on today - - but it's just freakin' stupid. Who thought it would be a good idea to place 2 necessary classes 11 hours apart?
