Question about Kimimaro

I noticed his Curse Mark had 2 distinct qualities that set it apart from all other curse marks (i.e. Anko's, Sasuke's, Sound 4's):
- It is shaped differently
- It's on his CHEST rather than the NECK

I think it has something to do with his illness or something....anyone wanna fill me in a bit more? XD;

At first it was the Sound Four turning into the Sound Five when Kimimaro was forced into the group as he was stronger than all of their combined power.

Anko and Sasuke's cursed seal are both the heaven seal, and the other sound four each have different seals as well. Kimimaro has the gaia seal which is said to be equal in power to the heaven seal.

As for hte placement I would assume that it would have to do with his kekkai genaki rather than his illness. It may have to do with the bone placement that Orochimaru chose to place it there as the cursed seal affects the kekkai genkai. It may have also been that at the time Orochimaru could only place it there.

I thought curse marks effect all kekkai genkai in different ways. But that really can't be proved since Kimimaro and Sasuke ate only curse marked with kekkai genkai that I know off... Plus the fact that Kimimaro changes the look of his body with his bone spikes and blades. Sasuke still look well the same until he has his Sharingin but his eyes change to what the other cursed marked looks like also... The curse mark is a little hard to understand...

There may be a cursed seal of Hell, but it was not revealed yet, and there probably won't be such a thing.

We only know the names of Anko/Sasuke's seal and Kimimaro's seal, as I mentioned before Anko/Sasuke's seal is the Heaven Seal and Kimimaro's is the Earth. These two are the most powerful seals.

Cursed seals seem to affect the kekkai genkai. It cant really be compared since the kekkai genkai each do different things and the seals are different, and there limited users with kekkai genkai.

I always thought the CS was on chest because thats were Orochimaru bit him even though that would seem kind of weird.

All the sound 5 had different curse marks than Sasuke and Anko because theirs were both heaven, the other guys' seals were different kinds.

Kimimaro's was different from the others. I think his was the earth seal and Sasuke and Anko had the Heaven seal. :oh

He has the curse mark of earth, they have different designs. Plus oro just put it there.
