Already finished the intro to the essay, unless other anti-Sakura believers want to add to it?

The most prevalent reason I’ve come across that others like Sakura is because she is a realistic character with flaws. The amount of realism itself in a manga is debatable, primarily because it is a source of ink and paper brought into use from the imagination of a single man’s mind. Realism, just like truth, is only created in the perception of any single individual. It is similar to saying the sky is blue, which most consider universally true, even though it is only blue a certain time during the day.

Realism used to support the fantasy world in a manga is not something to be praised, but simply expected. Every character in Naruto has moments of acting like a living person might, so trying to praise any single character for a trait they all have is not only unnecessary, but shows the lack of depth such a character has.

Flaws are also creations that everything has, but to praise them, even glorify the things that weaken the whole—in this case a character—is its own special brand of lunacy. If flaws are to be thought well of, then also should the alcoholic be praised for his drunkenness.

After reading three of the more lengthy, popular ones, I have to agree. Most of them are written poorly, with nothing but generalizations to back up their points. None of them went into any detail about what is actually written down in the manga. I was tempted to do a direct rebuttal to Mizura's essay, but again it mostly just generalizations... and I noticed that Veil_of_Dreams already butchered Mizura's points in another of Mizura's pro-Sakura essays. No need for me to do so if somebody else has already done such a great job at a rebuttal already.

Her abuse of Naruto. He is not a dog to be 'kept in line, he doesn't need to be wipped' god I wish he would beat her down. And I don't even like him that much.

I tire of hearing how much she has matured. Her stupid reasoning of catching instead of killing one of the most deadly shinobi so as not to ruin a missing nins dream is unbelievable. And the fact that she is supposedly one of the most intelligent members of the fire countries active military... I'm not seeing it.

Her jump in power in relation to where she started irks me as well. There is no way that she should have been able to school all of those suna nins after two and a half years. She showed no afinity toward medical jutsu pre-skip. Her chakra puches I could have bought, but the rest was utter crap.

I weep for my poor beautiful Sasori, who's epic glory was destroyed for building up sakura. And the next arc she's back to crying and her dodging skills dissapear.

I'll never understand what Sakura fans see in her. There's nothing great about punching the ground. All you have to do is take one step to the side and Sakura misses. All she can hit are big non-moving targets and if you think about it, that's pretty retarded. And I'm not going to even bother addressing the sudden "healing" powers. It's completely unrealistic, and I don't care if she's supposed to be "smart". She's no prodigy or anything and you don't get that good at healing in 2 years :notrust

And I hate the "human" argument. Christ, it's like that's the only thing good her fans can say about her. And you know what? She's not. She has her useless and overrated "super-smashy" powers, which requires non-human strength. And atleast 2/3 of the Saku-tards didn't even like her until then. If they really liked her for being a normal person, they would've liked her in part one.

She has the blandest personality too. All the characteristics the Sakura displays are cliched (determined, courageuos or w/e) and boring. I probably couldn't come up with more than 3 adjective to describe her and that's pathetic. It's sad how many are wasted on her just staring or going "!".

Pro-skip Sakura might have been more useful up till the Sasori fight, but almost immediately afterwords Sakura went back to her useless fan girl self. TxK is right, there really isn't much to like about the character. As soon as Sakura begins to improve, she goes back to being her old annoying self.

but you could add that when sakura was protecting Tazuna and being his guard in all that .She abandoned him in the middle the fight to throw that one kunai at Haku.Which was fail because didn't Kakashi tell her to be Tazuna's guard and don't leave his side no matter what.
Personally I think Kakashi during that arc kinda thought of Sakura as a good humanshield.

I saw that comment too, where the person also said Sakura was nicer to Naruto then I had written about. That person hasn't realized yet that I also excluded what the majority of Sakura's insults were to keep things even.

It's why I brought up both the good and the bad about Sakura, so that her fans can't nitpick over any single thing, since I have already covered it. It made the essay twice as long, but I think it was worth it.
