One Piece 343 Episode Discussion

STRAIGHT FROM THE CROSSBONE'S MOUF:

Well, how to say this.....unfortunately, I was right. Last week's preview looked bad and it turns out that 343 takes a considerable step backwards in the art and animation department. Zoro (always the best indicator) in some scenes looks like he's back in the first few arcs of the series. The director really attempts to make some interesting and creative shots, but with crap art, it doesn't matter. Oh well. Sometimes it's ok, other times you know they told the Laotian animators, "Ok you got one day to do this!" hmm

Anyway, the choice of music is interesting. Absalom's speech to the troops is covered by Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. I think it's the same one from the Movie 7 soundtrack. Maybe a little longer. Also, the debut of Perona and Moria with the strawhats entering the castle grounds uses the same tune from Movie 7 when Franky entered Enies Lobby for the first time. Good choice, but that episode was directed and drawn waaaay better than this one.

Looks like Brooke not only got to see Nami's panties, but raided them as well. Hey nowwwww!

I don't read the manga, but I've been told that his sword being destroyed is just filler. So unless he doesn't use any three-sword-techniques during this arc, it should be okay. If he does though... he's going to need to find some sort of a filler sword smith.

Good ep but Moria's voice is kind of strange. Although I really like Perona's voice and the parts with Absalom and the zombies was good. Hopefully next week the action starts heating up.

I didn't like Moria's voice as well, I didn't think it suited his character I figured his voice would be deeper and darker but it sounded like he was 6 and real childish. Persona's va wasn't that bad though, I expected a different voice but it fit well.

I always imagined Moria having a James Woods (Hades in Hurcules) type voice. But... instead... I get the voice of (as someone else put it) a fat retard.

I love Hogback's voice, though. I love that rediculous laugh.
