Kakashi and Asuma vs Kakuzu

We haven't seen much from Asuma, and based on the fact that Kakuzu was enough to beat Kakashi, I'd say Kakuzu wins by a long way.

From what we saw of Asuma, he was mainly a close combat specialist who also could use medium range Katon. Kakuzu can easily balance out his katon with suiton, and at close combat his tendrils can own several kage bunshins easily, so I doubt Asuma would help that much in this match. As for Kakashi, he was pushed pretty hard by Kakuzu, but he never used his MS. It would be interesting to see if Asuma could hold off Kakuzu long enough for Kakashi to ready his MS and then to see how Kakuzu tries to counter.

As for my prediction, I'll go with Kakuzu, assuming he can at least partially dodge Kakashi's MS since his aim isn't perfect.

The doton heart and tentacles are going down. However, Kakuzu smacked down Asuma pretty hard when he was right in front of him, so he's pretty fast. Then again, Asuma couldn't really walk around easily so he couldn't really dodge.

As for the rest, I don't think they completely win against full powered Kakuzu without knowledge of his abilities(they'd take maybe 3 or 4 of his hearts)

However, if he fought like he did against Asuma early on, he would be killed because he was barely using his abilities so he'd likely get decapitated before he could use the rest of his abilities.

Kakashi fighting at his maximum without MS was able to beat ONE heart on his own, and one with the help of Shikamaru. Asuma, most likely, cannnot even defeat one heart, and if he can, he couldn't defeat 2. Kakuzu wins.
