San - eqivalent to Mr. or Mrs., but far more common. Can be used on anyone.

Chan - Eqivalent to honey, babe, ya know, that kind of significant other talk. Only used on girls, or boys when you wish to belittle him. Or her. Mainly mothers call boys -chan, though boys and girls can use it as an insult. Can also be used on close female friends.

Dono - Lord or Lady; an older suffix, barely ever used.

Sama - using it means you defer to the person you use it on.

Kun - Usually used to refer to a boyfriend or close male friend; can also be used as an insult to females sometimes, and tomboys sometimes enjoy being called -kun.

Sensei - Teacher.
