Hee hee. I think every NejiTen fan squealed a little when we saw that.

The anime seems to put in more moments than the manga, mostly because they actually showed Tenten's match against Temari. That to me has one of the big NejiTen moments in it. When Tenten is caught in Temari's jutsu, Neji wasn't all like "feh, it was fated she'd lose. Whatever." Uh-uh. He said that she fought well and actually showed some concern over her loss. He didn't do that for anybody else, not even Lee's spectacular defeat.

There is nothing more stupid than character bashing, my young friend. Kishimoto Masashi works every single week to draw and redraw his characters in the manga, and several of those weeks were spent drawing Tenten in as well. You hate Tenten? You bash her? It's bashing kishimotos work, his art and all the effort he puts into it.
What kind of person are you that you'll make fun of an aspect of someones work? Don't take this the wrong way, but nothing you could ever create would be better than a Kishimoto character, even if it is a minor one like Tenten. If you've come seeking sympathisrs for your strange (and pointless) Hyuugacest or AntiTenten crusade, youve come to possibly the single worst place. This is a NejiTen FC, meaning we all like Neji and Tenten and NejiTen. Youre and idiot if you expect to find supporters.

While I could argue with you over the bashings you gave this FC's first post, I ll just say that this FC's leader perhaps didnt put up the most believable reasons for NejiTen. Do your homework about the pair.

Okay, I am like majorly obsessed with NejiTen. I've looked through every NejiTen community on FF.net, looked through different fanart sites for nejiten stuff (*huggles art*), and watch/read the scenes where Neji and Tenten interact. Even though they don't interact often, the times where they do point me to believe that they will (hopefully) get together. Besides the fact that they are cute together, Tenten seems to be the only one that could satisfy Neji's needs, and possibly the only woman Neji can tolerate and respect. I mean you can tell he acts differently with her then the other people around him. That's just a few of the reasons I think they would work out. And even though there is little interaction, it just leaves it open for good fanfiction XD.

I know the creator of the thread isn't around or anything, but I always believed in NejiTen, so I shall stick around and watch any new developments. I just wish there was a NejiTen forum or something...would be pretty coolm but I don't think there would be that many people interested in starting something like that. All well, I can always just browse NejiTen @LiveJournal. Speaking of LJ I even made a NejiTen layout...okay...enough of my obsession....I'll shut up now ._.

Mwahahaha. Reznor very kindly has reassigned the first post of this FC to me, and I've gone on an updating spree with banners, fanfiction and fanart.

All those that were waiting to be put on the member list are now joined - I'll do my best to find lots more nejiten art and get an imageshack gallery for easier viewing. Please be advised that the 'M section' of fanfiction should probably only be viewed by those 17+, but I'll trust that to your own judgement. You all know what you're comfortable with.
Other than that I'll be working on banners tonight and perhaps getting and alliance set up with the Tenten and Neji FCs (because that seems to be something commonly done..? XD), and maybe we can get a rivalry with NejiSaku or something. XD; Providing theres actually a NejiSaku FC.

Mwahahaha. Reznor very kindly has reassigned the first post of this FC to me, and I've gone on an updating spree with banners, fanfiction and fanart.

All those that were waiting to be put on the member list are now joined - I'll do my best to find lots more nejiten art and get an imageshack gallery for easier viewing. Please be advised that the 'M section' of fanfiction should probably only be viewed by those 17+, but I'll trust that to your own judgement. You all know what you're comfortable with.
Other than that I'll be working on banners tonight and perhaps getting and alliance set up with the Tenten and Neji FCs (because that seems to be something commonly done..? XD), and maybe we can get a rivalry with NejiSaku or something. XD; Providing theres actually a NejiSaku FC.
Anyways, I hope that all the updates will keep you guys filled to the brim with NejiTen love.

Well, Tenten seems the only sane girl in the whole show... except the part where she literally shakes Lee awake, but it's like she understands the two inside and outside. Moreover, she's the only one who can keep Neji from being a male chauvinistic pig-- the dirty look she gave him when Ino and Sakura were fighting shut him up.

It's like she can get away with saying things to him that normal people can't... sort of... Err, also because there needs to be more of Tenten and also because all the other girls will not suit Neji. Not even Hinata.

Cousins are allowed to be wed, it's not really incest in many cultures. But Hinata and Neji seem too... I don't know. It just seems almost sinful to tear her apart from Naruto. Or she should end up with Kiba.

In an ideal world I think Neji and Tenten should be together. ^^

I really like this coupling and I hope they'll get together at the end and to me it's really annoying that most of the people think that because lee is a hard worker deserves to have a girl like tenten or even sakura. So he deserves more tenten/sakura than neji/sasuke because he hasn't the luck to be a genius?? (and it's not always a good luch as said kabuto when he wanted to kill sasuke...)

the first time I see neji trains with tenten,it really surprised me because I always tough that neji was a loner type (like sasuke)and trained alone.
And as I saw, no body must knew about the kaiten (not even lee or the hyuga) because it's a jutsu used by the first branch (i don't remember the name). Yet he trust enough tenten to show her his kaiten during his training. I think it's since this that I get hooked to the pairing. he seems more patient and "nice" with her than any other people (and with hinata and her father at the end)
and I like how he support her in the part 2^^

Somebody put a rating of pairings based on astrology, on a 1-5 scale. And what was NejixTenten? FIVE! Seeing that made me curious, so I looked it up myself. Neji's a cancer and Tenten is a Pisces (woot!), and lookie at this compatibility description! http://www.astrology-online.com/crsunpi.htm

As for me, I originally got into the pairing because I was a Neji fan. But the more I thought about it the more it seemed highly likely to me as canon. Not only is Tenten the only female Neji seems to really respect, but she seems to understand him the best out of everyone. The scene that really got me was when Tenten got caught in Temari's kamaitachi no jutsu. For once Neji was CONCERNED, and unlike all the other fights he didn't spout how it was fated. That and him psuedo-smiling when Tenten chided him about kunoichis got me stuck on the pair.

The thing that got me hooked on the actual couple was their interaction on the show. Like a lot of people already mentioned about his reaction during the TenTen and Temari battle. I mean come on, he like puts everyone down, even Lee who is on his own team, but when it came to TenTen he was all like "she did well". In my opinion that's a lot coming out of Neji especially that early in the show when he was all into that fate stuff. That was when I started taking interest in the pairing. Then that scene in the manga after the 3 year jump when Neji, Lee, and TenTen are stuck in the water prison. As soon as the prison was released, who did Neji go to? He went to TenTen and held her up (^___^ I love that scene to death and can't wait to see how they do it in the anime)....okay yeah it was a tiny scene, but hey they hardly focus on teams other then team 7, so whenever they show team Gai I have to take notes on character interaction XD. I think after that scene I became really obsessed with the coupling and tried to uncover every fanart I could find of them...that and screenshots...-.- WHat keeps me hooked though is the fact that they hardly show them, sorta leaves stuff to the imagination.

Alright, I was able to quickly get ont he computer after the Anime Convention and before sleep. I updated the fanart section with 2 new pics, updated members but more importantly, we now have a banners page. It is much easier now to get banners- the little boxes beneath the banners have all the required code for a banner in them, so just copy and paste into your siggy when needed. The boxes include the coding for linking back to this thread as well, which should help promote more members. :) I hope this makes things easier, and I'll see you guys 5 days from now (leaving for trip in morning).

I had noticed that Gai’s Team usually classification their opinion into 2 groups.
One is Gai+Lee
Two is Neji+Tenten

when Tenten and Neji thought the way that Gai :Gaipose always challenged :kkbook Kakshi (like, paper, scissor, rock match) looked like childish behavior. While Lee thought “So cool!” , etc.

Or in post-time skip, when Gai’s team had sent to assist Kakashi’s team Gai+Lee have determined to reach Sunagakure in a half or 1 day [0.O!] but Neji + Ten objected (which was worthless ^^”) .

Conflict Opinion Situation in Gai team have more scenes but I too lazy to type all.

As for the OTP itself...Tenten's got such a lot of undeveloped potential - WEAPONSWEAPONSWEAPONS WHEE! :P - and it would be fun to see how she develops. I mean, we know nothing about her. Also, she's already demonstrated a marked liking for Neji - something different from Ino and Sakura's fan-girling of Sasuke, but which I find fun, her unbounded belief in Neji's invincibility. I actually wasn't really that annoyed by her smug commentary during Naruto and Neji's match, even if I adore Naruto; first off, I find it cute that she has such faith in her teammate, I'm the same with any friends of mine in competition; and secondly, it was obviously a Kishimoto plot device to keep explaining Neji's fighting style and to make it more awesome when Naruto wins.

As for our favorite ice-boy...Neji's demonstrated...well, a tolerance for her. Which in his case is astounding. He commented favorably on her match in the Chuunin prelims, even if Temari did all but break her back (boo! Unfair advantage!) which he didn't do for anyone else, I think.

In fact, in those episodes, Neji is rather stylishly just leaning backwards on the wall behind him (I went back and chercked, I swear, thats ALL he does XD ) though I think he may actuqally watch Lee and Gaaras match. Other than that though, hes pretty attentive to Tentens match. While Kishimoto may never have intended that to be a hint, Im going to just assume he did because, you know, Im a rabid fangirl and whatnot. Some other hints that I consider to be beleivable are:

-Neji and Tenten always shown training together
-Neji commenting on Tentens match, Tenten commenting (constantly) on Nejis match
-The overall fact that Tenten seems to call Neji perfect, a genius, invincible, etc.
-Neji shuts up when Tenten scolds him for his chauvanism in the Chuunin exams (regarding his comments that girl kunoichi- Sakura, Ino- are useless)
-And the biggest so far (spoilers) Neji supports Tenten after rescuing her from the water prison in manga Chapter 258! :)

Actually, contrary to popular belief, there is only a maximum 6% chance that the child of Neji and Hinata would be genetically messed up in any way. 6% being the MAXIMUM, 3% being the average. Really, there is a very small chance that there would be any mutation, Mizura proved it all with some biological research in the Hyuugacest FC, I believe. That's precisely why I don't give Genetics as a reason for my NejiHina dislike.
While the whole Incest thing doesnt sit well with maaaany Westerners, its actually not so bad in Asia, even though it IS bad- for example, in Card Captor Sakura, Li's cousin Meilin (I think thats the name) was actually engaged to Li. This was cut out of the English version, though.

Anyways, I look at nejihina as being impossible because really, it is. They don't show any liking for one another, although Neji seems to tolerate her nowadays. Hinata is obsessed with Naruto, and Neji, well. He seems to show care for Tenten, but other than that- he's kind of androgenous, isn't he? XD;
ah, but we love him still.

I think LeeXTenten would work if they tried really hard, but Lee seems like kind of an idiot. Although Tenten may find that endearing. Anyways, as with NejiHina, theres just not much evidence for LeeTen, unless you want to count the smile she did in chapter 142(?). But I am not willing to base my positive opinion of a pairing on one smile.
NejiTen has several hints, while I can only see two for LeeTen, only one of which is plausible.
LeeTen, unlike NejiTen, seems to have too much going against it, canon-wise. Lee loves Sakura, Tenten's always calling Neji perfect... I just don't think there's room for Lee to let go of his Sakura infatuation, for Tenten to look at Lee as more than a friend, and for their relationship to be developed in the series. While Naruto as endless possibilities, I actually think most of Team Gai's stuff will be left up to the readers' imagination- Kishimoto unfortunately has bigger fish to fry than those three. :(

To sum it up I guess that basically, I think LeeTen COULD work, but theres no evidence of it at the moment that Im willing let sway me. NejiTen on the other hand- Tenten obviously calls Neji perfect, invincible, etc... she invited him to go see Tsunade.. She did the commentary on his match with Naruto with more compliments/concern. Neji seems to tolerate her more than other pre-timeskip, shutting up when she says so in the Chuunin prelims, paying attention to her match, and rescuing/supporting her post-timeskip.

To those that would bring up the fact that Lee also supported Tenten when she was beaten by Temari (by catching her) well, you have to realize that for Lee to do something like that is much less a stretch than it would be for Neji. Neji is very 'me against the world', while Lee is very 'lets hold hands', so its much more of a stretch for Neji to support someone in the way he did. Also at the time Lee caught Tenten, he was clearly in love with Sakura so could not have meant anything by it.

hmmm....well personally i think tenten sees him as a little brother, looking out for him and kinda scolding him. lee is too obsessed with sakura and probably sees tenten as a valued friend and teamate.since lee and gai train together that leaves tenten and neji.over time they've probably become close and she is the only female(other than his cousin) whom he acknowledges. during the chunnin exams neji criticizes(sp?) others fighting but with tenten he said things like "she did well" or "she couldn't avoid that".

To me, I think if LeeTen happened, it would just be a way of pairing them up for the sake of being paired instead of having developed reasons for it. As of right now I really only see them as team mates, and even then I really don't see the interaction they have had really say anything about them getting together.

She starts off really putting Lee down, "You can't beat Neji". And then she praises Neji's skill and is usually found training with him. Tenten has trained with Lee in episode 142 with Gai, and she smiled at him. And then everyone started thinking about that action being a LeeTen moment. To be honest, I think she was admiring his power, since she strives to be powerful herself. And as Peliqua mentioned already, Lee only went down there to catch Tenten because his character allows for it (he seems to be the one always itching to pick a fight or to show off his power, so he jumped down). It would have been odd to see Neji just randomly jump down (especially considering his internal conflict with the Main Branch not resolved yet). With the manga, when they broke free from the water prison I was honestly expecting either Lee to help Tenten out or for all three of them to just try and catch their breath, but Neji was the one to go to her side so suddenly (which is more plausible now after the whole chuunin exam thing).

And I don't really think Lee even looks at Tenten in that way (maybe there's a possiblity of it happening later) he seems more concerned with three things, Gai, Sakura, and his training.

As for NejiTen, there have been better hints at something going on. I mean during the Chuunin exam all of his comments regarding her fight (and he even voiced outload that she did well but couldn't get out of the attack, well unless the coloring on my sub was a mistake). He obviously has a deep respect for her, and trusts her with his training (and that's a lot considering Neji doesn't really get along with others before the end of the Chuunin Exam). And the respect is the same from Tenten's side. She like praises his ability while he's fighting Naruto. Perhaps that's not a better reason for them to be together, but (at least to me) it seems like there is something there that can be worked on to something more. With LeeTen, I really don't see a base for anything that could brew up.

Alright, and thus ends my little rant...probably is all just a jumbled up mess of stuff so sorry if it's difficult to read through XD.

School started this week for me and Hina. Oh, Hina is my sister by the way and she's not been reading the messages. I'll forward your message on to her for the pretty banner. ^^ Hrm... that is quite an argument about the NejixHinata thing. Of course I do not find it a problem with cousin x cousin as it is done in my own culture. I suppose I just don't like it with them two... and Hinata does call him Neji-niisan. But if Hyuuga politics sway, then they're most likely going to be together by Kishimoto. But it's not fair, Hinata has admired Naruto for a long time, Naruto should acknowledge her a little more...

Even the anime team isnt stupid enough to drop truly canon hints unless coached by Kishimoto- but Kishimoto doesnt seem to have much effect on the anime at all, as is evident with the.. horrible fillers so far...
The anime team dropping LeeTen hints in the fillers would be quite unpresidented- there's only been one hint for LeeTen so far, whereas there have been several of Tenten liking Neji. I can't see much going wrong with the whole thing, and assuming that these next fillers turn out to be Team Gai, I can imagine it will be a lot of Gai/Lee screaming, Tenten tsking and Neji grunting. And some crazy plot with absolutely no sense, because that's an absolute requirement for Team Gai. XD
Anyways, don't fear these next coming fillers- Because of the fact that its BEFORE the timeskip at this point, and that AFTER the timeskip (manga) there is NO LeeTen, The animeation team simply CANNOT make anything LeeTen happen, because there would be continuity errors.
I think what we should be praying for is that NejiHina doesn't happen- That'd mess up TWO pairings! NaruHina, Nejiten...

In the databook, doesn't it say that Tenten has a 'researcher' personality? To me, that implies a curious girl, and one who dislikes being left out of the loop. And unlike the other girls, she does have a pretty ambitious goal - one that's more idealistic than any save, arguably, Naruto's wanting to be Hokage - she wants to be like Tsunade of the Sennin.

I agree, there has been little development of Tenten - one might say, less than any of the Konoha genins - but what there isn't really that negative. I like what I see of her, and it makes me think there is oodles more interesting stuff to the weapons-mistress of Konoha. XD

That actually makes me feel a bit better about the filler thing. Hrmm...I'm hoping Hinata really doesn't make that big of an appearance in this filler. I mean she already had her own arc, I think that she should just stay ot of this whole arc. Besides she's obsessed with Naruto, and firghtened of Neji. Like for the fillers I sorta see something like this happening (well for the first two eps). Hinata's team returns and for some reason the bug (bicochuu sp?) they bring back dies (cause there was no mention of the bug in the manga at all) since they sorta took too long to get back because of their encounter with that clan (forget). Lee for some reason over hear's this and he is determined to be successful in finding info about Orochimaru in hopes of winning Sakura's aproval. So he goes to his team in hopes of getting their support in his new mission. They finally get talked into going by Gai XD (gigantic waves and crying Gai and Lee ensue and in order to stop the insanity Tenten and Neji agree to go). Then Naruto gets involved again. Then they encounter an enemy with a grudge against the Hyuuga clan O.o. I don't know...I didn't really think that far into it...but yeah that's all I got for now XD.


And as for Tenten, I really only think that she said Sasuke was cute because all the girls did. I don't think she meant anything furthur, or that she's just like Ino and Sakura for that matter. I mean she trains hard and isn't found complaining about it or discouraging herself in becoming stronger. Tenten is her own, and I don't think she really should be compared to Ino or Sakura. :D
