Alright so me and my friend had did a song, and we plan to take it to the radio and see if we can get it played... nothin' fancy, since we're doin' it ourselves, but other than that it's a good radio song... We got others so you guys don't think we're straight up sellouts... but anyways...

If you wouldn't mind listen to that track.. I barely mastered it today and got it to him and he already had some things wrong with it...

ok

1. the "Make'em Sweat" in the start and through the song, he says it's too low, and that it should be higher... Maybe but I was figurin' if they turned it up enough they can hear it, it's not somethin' to stand out, just used as atmosphere...

2. His drops... Since he's the first verse, he gots three drops... But the second one where it says "Automatically"... I had this placed another way to fit with the beat more, but he complained about it, and so I put it where he said...

3. Was my use of the word "Ass" at the end of my verse... "So I bet that ass ain't the only thing that drop" ..

4. The bass in the song.. It's like if he wants to kill it completely, but I got my comp connected to a real stereo through a Xifi-Card... The bass turned up all the way is kind of weak, but noticable so I figured it would be enough...

So if you guys can check this out and give me your thoughts...

Please please post in here so I know...

Oh yea, if you don't mind give me a rating on the song...

:)

4. When you want to mix something, you had best mix it on the flattest setup possible (monitors or good headphones), and don't turn the bass up on your setup when you are mixing. Bass is the hardest thing to get right anyway, but listen to it on as many different settings and stereos as you can. Usually hearing how it will sound in a car is a good idea, as cars are tuned environments and the most likely place for your song to be heard since you are going for radio play.

Haven't listened yet, but I can tell you the above right off the bat.

the beat is hot, but those background vocals really kill the feel of the track. Is the first guy or the guy talking about spots Asian, because the slur on those words really annoys my ears and in fact are very off key with the rest of the song. The result makes it sort of like grating a hand across a chalk board.

Your verse is aight, very basic and definitely not something I'd listen to. That makes it fine for what your trying to do with this song, since club tracks are mostly about the beat, not about your verse, which is good because the flow sounds a little forced in this one(IMO).

The first verse is very annoying to listen to, and makes me question the metal stability of the artist(Im not joking, They sound like they are mentally handicapped and that takes away from the track).

The beat will be sick when mastered, and the bass needs to be fixed. As said before hand, thats hard to do for the most part. As was said, you need to hear the track in every single situation. When I made beats on Fruityloops back in highschool, I'd listen to it on headphones, stereo, computer speaker, car speakers, whatever I could find, and tweak based on that.

I think it's pretty decent, better than some other things I hear on the radio. Sounds like the style from my area, Bay Area(aka Northern California), I can't remember this one song that sounds like that, but I think it goes. well, good luck with it, but I don't think you need to remaster it anymore, prolly try not to cramp too much of the vocals that sound so different so close. like there's the hamster sounding voice, then that super deep voice next...
ahhhh i remember the song now though, it sounds like "I got grapes" by the federation i believe.
