Kakashi bring up the surpassing Yondaime was awesome, since its another connection between the two. Though, I am disappointed on how Kishimoto handled this chapter. I would like to know Yamato's secret that Yamato stopped Kakashi from telling. XD

I liked all the references....I like how naruto is going to complete rasengan...however....I was guessing all along that the new jutsu would be an upgrade to rasengan and I wished I had been wrong....but considering that Sasuke has chidori Nagashi *or w/e it's called...>__>*...naruto should have some form of nature manipulated rasengan.....as long as he isn't doing a dbz-esque ki blast....it should be fine...>__>

I felt the same way. I did a DNAngel crossover with InuYasha (I hate crossovers really, but it was just a stupid plot bunny in my brain I tell you). Apparently I was able to pull it off with my limited knowledge of IY. It's hit 5,000 views and near 150 reviews. *sigh* The troublesome part of it that two different sequels were requested from it. Now I have those to write, as well as a FMA one and a Naruto one. *groans*

Just go for it. If you absolutely need to, research a little bit.

Well, after finishing the Monster anime, S&G told me about Urasawa's other work, that being 20th Century Boys. He sent me the first two volumes, and I, for some reason, inexplicably delete them. Then, about a month or so later, you're telling me about the same manga. So I say, why not and see what the man (man, right? Can never tell these days) behind Monster was up to.

The first 20 chapters were nice. Good reads, but nothing that would keep your eyes glued to the pages you were reading. Then, chapter 21 came and my interest in the entire thing increased exponentially.

It's one of the most memorable quotes I've read in any manga so far. "So...I'm the only one...who can save the world." It was awesome because the Kenji character's a real person that you could meet any time. He has no powerful DBZ energy, no chakra, he doesn't have super strength. He's just a normal guy trying to save the entire world from one of his old classmates, whose hand and influence was reaching everybody, ranging from small-time things to big-time positions of power like the Pope.

Even though it's bloodly unlikey for one man to have control over the whole world, it's certainly not impossible. I guess that's where the appeal is. The potential realism. Bio-chemical warfare, political intrigue, children complexes, realistic characters who act accordingly most the time. Wonderful manga.

Another character I like is Otcho. Badass. I like everyone, really.

Also, I like Urasawa's drawing style. When I was finished with the latest chapter and went back to Naruto, it dawned on me just how generic Kishimoto's art was in comparison. =/

Even though, at the beginning of that volume, Urasawa suddenly re-introduced us to Kenji as child, who was claiming he'd save the world from bad guys, and building up his reutrn in other ways, it still didn't take away from the pleasant and awesome [i]shock! of the impact.

Oh, and I've also come up with a new title for the seventh (and final, I hope, I hope, I hope) volume of the series -- A DREAM OF SPRING. I like the sound of that a lot better than A TIME FOR WOLVES, which has been my working title for book seven up to now, and I also think it gives a better sense of the book that I want to write. So -- A DANCE WITH DRAGONS, then THE WINDS OF WINTER, then A DREAM OF SPRING. Shouldn't take me long (hah).
Judging by that title that he was going to name the book, the Stark family is primed to make a furious comeback and a furious re-rise to prominence and relevance in the Seven Kingdoms. As it looks now, Jon and Sansa should be leading the way. Jon's not a Stark, but he has the Stark blood and the strongest resemblance to the Starks in general, as he has their look. Jon's a very important character.

And Bran's wandering beyond the Wall while Rickon's roaming Westeros somewhere with Osha and Shaggy Dog.

Starks are down, yes, but certainly not out.

There isn't, but I'm sure there will be once the manga's done. Urasawa's work is respected in Japan.

About the manga: I'll look into them once I get around to finishing Monster and Ippo.

Monster manga is great but the anime does one critical thing better, you can feel the emotion of what Tenma goes through. In the first episode, you can feel the contruction workers wife pounding on Tenma in asking him why Tenma didn't help her husband. I finished the first two episodes a few days ago.

^Yeah, from what I've read of the manga, the anime follows it very closely but manages to convey more emotions. Monster is just awesome. I'd imagine the 20th CB anime would possibly be even better than the manga too, if it's as well done as Monster was. ^^
