Here's my favorite range of genres of EM. New tracks are great, but you can list old ones, too. You don't have to post for each genre, just post for the ones you know well. (You can PIMP me if you want, but I have another source of music as well.)
Here are my choice genres:
Trance: classic, tech, dark, psy (not the dream-epic-anthem kind)
Techno: (any dark kind will do)
Breaks: electro rap, funky, chemical, big beat
D'n'B/Jungle: darkstep, hardstep, techstep, jazzstep
Industrial: electro, EBM, futurepop (not to be confused w/ electroclash),
Note: I don't mind if this tread is merged w/ another tread.

I doubt anybody will answer this thread now. It seems like it is a taboo to talk about electronic music without being scolded at. Should I just give up listening to EM in the USA?

It's not taboo. What your getting scolded for is posting in the wrong place and generally making unnecessary threads.

Hmm...you're right. At least give me a suggestion of the best times to use an existing tread such as Electronica anyone. I feel that ppl won't bother to answer since I'm a n00b or that I'm posting at the wrong time of day when ppl are asleep or out to lunch.

Electronic music that I like includes World's End Girlfriend, Cex, Daft Punk, Aphex Twin, Air, Venetian Snares and Portishead. Get those.

Not forgetting what I stated before, I like electronic music that screams killer andorids, polluting factories, godly water dragons, & ancient ruins (I'm nutz, huh?). I like a mixtures of beats, from tribal sound of jungle/d'n'b, to the edgy synths of psytrace & tech-trance (I hate the dream-epic junk), to the dark, mechanical industrial music.

Hmm...a Los Angeles-based electronic band, eh? (I used Wikipedia for research.) I'm using Soulseek to sample their music. Oops, did I say "Slsk"? Am I even allowed to talk about p2p programs here on the forums?
dude, we directly share music with eachother and have a thread about soulseek XD
I like Mirwais.

Hyuk, hyuk, hyuk...that is what I thought. Now I that I have read the Soulseek FAQ thread, I'm more confident in using the Naruto Forums for electronic music research. Just as long as I get past the people who hate & dis electronic music.
