Moria got beaten by one of the four emperors. He built this entire army of zombies because of the remorse he felt for his crew being killed off, or being unable to take it. He might have even turned to DF because of it. The reaction to not giving up Luffy might inspire him to help fend off Kuma.

Obviously, Moria might not be able to do much. Maybe Absalon and the doctor will assist. It would also give a solution to why all the shadows returned. Moria was beaten, but by "Kuma" after going rogue or something.

Yeah, this is what I think. Whatever they were planning, it sure as hell wasn't towards the benefit of the strawhats, but with Kuma there ready to annihilate them all, I think their plan has now shifted a bit. They'll end up helping the strawhats whether they intend to or not.

Doubt it, Dragon has already intervened once, would be kind of lame if he did it again. Besides he's nowhere near.

That was in reference to Kuma's teleport/vanish ability when he asks you where you want to go. He might not know the weakness to the rest of his abilities.


What I WANT to happen is for Zoro to find his weakness and trash him using Azura. As Mihawk says, Zoro should fight the stronger person for once.

As for what's likely to happen I really don't know. The absalom/hogback intervention seems likely.

I say that Kuma's big explosion injures the SH crew just enough to make it look like there dead, or gonna die soon. Then he grabs luffy and heads for the World Government headquarters to prove he completed there orders. The SH crew wakes up, finds out what happened, and head back to Eneis lobby to try to get luffy back.

Could be a mistranslation, why would Brooke try to cut Zoro, and why would he flee only with luffy.
The only reason I can think of is that he will try to heal Luffy or something like that, and that Zoro is stalling time. But that would be pretty lame.
Zoro taking on Kuma alone would be even worse.

Not to bash on Zoro, but he's already injured, and it would hype him unnecessarily. He could do the main part, and the rest of the gang could help him.
That would be great. But heavily injured Zoro vs. Kuma is badass, but not necessary.

He's been the only one to as far as I remember to mention leaving the crew under various conditions. But at the same time Usopp came back just as he did despite all that happened, so the chances of anyone leaving the crew (for over an arc at least) is pretty low.

Based on the trans posted, I'd say it looks more like that Zoro appears to be surrendering Luffy in order to save the rest of the crew.

Of course, I doubt he'd actually do that, but he might be pretending to or something.

I've gotta say, great chapter for me, even if it isn't even out yet. I agree with destroy musick, that we'll get character development for zoro, i could also see his friendship with sanji deepen, cause you can clearly see how much the latter cared for him (he directly ran off to the forest to search him).

Furthermore, i love kuma. I'm glad he still has a in my eyes big roll to play. He could be a future opponent for zoro or maybe even franky or even an ally. He knows dragon, and even more interesting, he knows that luffy is his son (i thought that was like a secret just a few people knew) and he also has a connection to doctor vegapunk, which i already can't wait to hear and hopefully see more about.

Great start for the new year, now that thriller bark seems to be finished, can't wait to see how this beautiful tale will continue.

Seems like a pretty interesting chapter even though I would've like to see the situation if Zoro actually turned in Luffy.

It seems Dr. Vegapunk's role is increasing in importance every time he's mentioned, so is Kuma's as he's intended to be eventually become the Navy's ultimate weapon. His alteration could explain him going from a tyrant pirate to a government "dog." And appearantly his power allows him to push even pain and fatigue out of someone?

I'm hoping both Kuma and Zoro's decisions have reprecussions instead of everything being fine from now on.

I don't think it's about endurance. I think, it's about will, and it just so happens that Luffy and Zoro have the strongest ones. That is why they can stand up while no one else can.

Btw, I agree with you, that Luffy would also be standing up, if he switched with Zoro. But IMO no one else would,, not even Sanji.
