I may have my numbers off (I thought it was 4), but I distinctly remember Sub-Zero being beaten by Scorpion just as he found out who really killed his family.

Oh I remember of playing in mega drive mortal kombat 3, and I always liked striker I think that was the name, but between scorpion and zero I chose subzero, its funny to play with subzero because after you froze your opponent you can do an uppercut and its so cool, or it was cool because I never played again any mk.

I don’t know the history but in the movie jonny cage it’s the one who kills scorpion.

Scorpion has always been my favorite and i have no doubt in my mind that he would rip subzero's ass apart and with all that fire inside scorpion i doubt he could stay frozen for long or even be frozen at all

You both are right, it was in 4 that scorpion beat Sub. What happened was that after Scorpion beat him, sub told him that he wasn't the one that killed his family. At that point Quan Chi came in and confessed to it. Then he proceeded to try to banish scorpion to the Netherrealm. In the newest MK's (Deadly Alliance, and Deception) Quan Chi was banned to the netherrealm, and has been chased by Scorpion ever since.

awww man....both of these ninjas have been my favourite mk characters of all in mortal kombat series....both have cool powers, strong moves and etc.....i cant decide easily but subzero has always been my fav. a little more than scorpion so i go with subzero..... i even have the game mortal kombat 4 for N64 which i havent played in ages and siting around somewhere in my house......

Which Sub-zero are we talking about? The only time Sub could win was in DA, Deception or Armageddon. MK4, Scorpion would win and any incarnation of Sub before 4 was equal to Scorpion.
