a huge gym, about the size of a soccer field, with a center line divided in the middle.

the balls are steel hard. they are not metallic.

if ball is caught, the catcher is not out but neither is the thrower. there is no way to come back once u r out.

summons, special moves, etc. are allowed but may not go past the center line (eg Gaara may use sand to block and throw the balls as long as the sand doesnt go past the center line)

ball must be thrown in 10 seconds.

Kisame really isnt that good, his water cant go past the boundary, and flooding his side of the field will also affect his teammates.

genjutsuing someone to hit someone on their own team with a ball doesnt mean their out... although itachi CAN genjutsu someone to badly injure someone on their team via normal ninja attacks

Can Tenten summon dodgeballs? Her+Gai and Tsunade leads to an endless stream of power flying at the Akatsuki (odd name for a team with six Sound ninja). Otherwise, Akatsuki is much more gym-oriented and wins. Disallow genjutsu and it's much more even.

Sasori gives akatsuki an advantage. With his puppets he could throw like 300 balls at once.

If that doesn't work, Sasori just buries his heart a few meters underground and waits for everyone on the other team to starve to death.

everybody has to throw a ball every 10 second, so sasori would have to come up every 10 second to throw a ball.

Itachi's genjutsu is useful, but almost everybody knows about it on team Konoha so they could all organize themselves into pairs or more (w/naruto's shadow clones if neccessary)

and sure tenten can summon balls ,but theres like a thousand balls on the field in the first place.

TenTen- dodgeball continuous summon

Team Akatsuki Assets:
Deidara- flight
Kisame- wall of water
Gaara- wall of sand
Sasori- heart is a super hard target; 300 balls at once

I could name more, but that's all I can see so far. It'd be a tough match, but Sasori can definitely bring home the bacon for his team. :pek
