Their song "New Slang" was selected to be on Scrubs. That makes them awesome. I have 2 of their albums and the first one I'm listening to is nice and refreshing.

I have! and i love it :spaz. Sea Legs is such a groovy tune <3. The album jus gets better with every tune. And it's far more engrossing and uses far more instrumentation than their previous albums. this is as you accuratly stated; consistently brilliant

2 days ago I read a review where this bloke totally pisses on the shins and dislikes them for not making "serious" music and resorting to catchy melodic tunes to male up for their lack of talent.

I tell ya, some people just got an oak tree shoved up their bum.

I've been a fan for a few years and I have to say.
I absolutly love The Shins.
Especially the acoustic songs.
They're incredibly good.
My favorite tracks are "Know Your Onion" and "Fighting In A Sack"
