According to this site (http://cal.syoboi.jp/tid/1174) a special edition episode airs December 24th. That's after the final episode of Kai airs.

Dec 24 is Christmas Eve so looks like it's gonna be a special Christmas episode. Since it's after Kai ends. Will we see what happened to everyone after beating Takano?

Sounds great; I wonder what it's about, an epilogue sounds nice. :nod

I guess it's too much to hope for to see Kuro Rika kill people, or for it to involve Hanyuu dressed up really cute and going 'hauauauau~'? :amuse

Although if you ask me, I want to see some snow fall in Hinamizawa, and seeing the Higurashi girls wearing Santa suits. :iria

Or maybe even a bloody Christmas? :awesome

Might even be Saikoroshi.That would be fabtabulous. I don't really see how they can do Xmas since Hinamizawa is like... well.. you know. It's just out of the norm. That also means it wouldn't be June anymore.

The more I think about it, the more I think it will be Saikoroshi-hen. I hope it is. It should be around 40 minutes. :nod Too bad that doesn't seem like the case.

As much as I prefer a more relatively happy one for the Christmas special, I also want to see Saikoroshi-hen animated.
