I just finished the first season today, and am about to start the second season. I gotta admit, the ending was very good. I loved it, and have to say that it's been really fun watching the first season. It was a happy ending, and a very rare one. Something that was completely unexpected to me in a series like this.

Seeing as how I avoided most spoilers, what can I expect from this anime? Bigger deaths, and more violence I'm guessing...

The first season's is eerie and mysterious.
The second season's is emotional and motivating.

It's good they switched the themes around a bit, it'll still be able to maintain it's power over me that way. Hanyuu seems like a blast to have around, and probably makes life entertaining for Rika sometimes. :amuse

No, you're getting this confused with Tatarigoroshi-hen, the arc where Keiichi "survived" at the end. Episode one of Kai is actually an epilogue of the last arc in the first season.

Basically, the gas disaster happened, and everyone died except for Rena because she was arrested and taken to a hospital (she wasn't in Hinamizawa when the disaster happened).

Hm...Then I've still got 6 episodes to go until then. So far it seems like everyone is able to remember something from other worlds. I can't help but root on for all of them to change their destiny, and for Rika to finally live in a peaceful world.

Everything is fine up to the Hinamizawa incidents. Then everything goes downhill and it's all because of that organization...What exactly are they, and something else doesn't make sense. Irie's death in the other world, he always wanted to adopt Satoko and yet suicide wouldn't make sense. Is it possible that Irie had connections with the organization...

Well, if there's something I didn't like in Kai, it's the "save Satoko" sub-arc of Minagoroshi-hen.

I actually like Keiichi's :gar moments, but I just felt that everything else was dragging. Until that sub-arc ends, then it becomes interesting again. :nod

I wouldn't say that I feel despair, but more like a little annoyance since an anime this good hasn't come around in a long time for me. (Aside from TTGL, but I don't have to wait weeks for it to come out)

Well, in one way yes. In another I haven't full achieved it, until I see the final episode of the series, then my victory won't be fully complete.
