This topic brings lolz, and another one joins the village.
Y'know, you could start, I don't know, browsing maybe the stickied threads. They're there for a reason you know. Anyway, here's my explanation on the set-up of this series.

You'll get it though. This is one anime were once you start you shouldn't be allowed to stop. Watch a few arcs, you'll be hooked.
I know you're confused but I'm not gonna explain whats going on because it'll ruin the surprize later on. Once agin, just continue watching.

Now I know why the older villagers were so amused by my

When I saw the thread title, I thought it was a "this anime sucks" thread. I mean, with the ALL CAPS and the "shit" in it. Ends up that it was a "Episode 5 = WTF!?" thread, and now I'm :lmao.
Welcome to the village, Uncanny! Just keep on watching. That's all we can say right now without spoiling stuff for you. :)

This is how it's done in Hinamizawa. :cool
Your first step to understanding this series is simple. Do you know Oyashiro-sama?

LOL. I actually stopped watching the series [at episode 13] 'cause it started to confuse me and school was starting and shit. XD
I might as well pick it up again and start over to see what I missed.

I made it to halfway across the series, and I still don't know what's the deal with him. =/
Can someone please explain?

The first answer arc starts at 16. That's when it starts to slowly answer everything.

Hey.. i've just picked the series because it was featured here... and lol... curse you Uncanny for your spoilers (i guess)...
anyway... i'm getting Ayu's DVD version (it's only on the second episode) but i think i won't have the patience to wait for more releases... is there any difference with the normal ones?... like widescreen or censorship or something?...
if not which Subs do you recommend?...

I don't think there's much difference. And most people here seem to recommend ~Hauu's subs.

First, make sure to have downloaded the first season.
I don't know what is the difference between Ayu's DVD quality and other subs.
Personally, I archive WIND subs for both season.
But I guess you can go with Ayu.

I got [wind] for the first season. I don't know much, but I was happy with it.

There is censoring on the really gorey parts. They add dark shadows to cover some things.
MarthX7
11-29-2007, 04:01 PM
Yeah. Season one DVD versions have more gore for certain episodes.
Vegitto-kun

I didn't notice any censoring
guess the batch I Downloaded had the DVD versions
