It's basically a military training and patriotic training to make all the youngster like me love our country more and know a bit about combat skills just in case we have war someday.

I dont know, but I hope it will go on smoothly. I hate national service. I'll tell u all why.

I mention earlier that I like outdoor activities like climbing mountains and camping, which means that national service is the best opportunity to join in the fun but why I still hate it?

That's because I actually want to use the holiday time to work. I dont need all those physical training, survival camping anymore because I am a scout since I am 13 years old. All those activities in national service is taken from scout's activities which mean that I already know all of them, so I dont want to waste my time doing the same thing again when I can go and find a work and earn myself some money.

There's also one month in learning about our political structure and everything about our country's parliement and stuff like that. I dont need this training too. Why? Because I was a member of the Kuiz Perdana team. This team is dedicated to learn everything about our country's political structure, prime minister and his activities and everything else about our country's strucutre. In fact, for 7 years in a row now, our team manage to reach national level every year and since I joined the team, I had represented Sarawak 3 times and 2 times as captain of my team. My team's performance? 3rd in national level in 2003, 1st in national level competition 2004 and 2nd in national level competition 2005. In 2004 and 2005, I am the captain. So, do I still need this training when I can use the time to work????? NO!!!!!!!!! :yell

I just want to work. Yes, joining national service will earn u RM300 but if I work for only 1 month, I can already earn RM500+ 4 months including this month means all together RM 2000+ 2000-300=1700 So, where can I claim back my 1700+?? The government will give it to me? Hell no.

It's not like I am going to use the money to buy Xbox or PSP or anything that is not useful. I plan to save all my money so that next time, if i need it for my study, I can use it.

When will you leave for the national service, Sis?
