View Full Version : Room for Love?

I've been wondering with all the pairs that we are admiring in Naruto,
It just seems to me that this anime won't really have much room for
love. Yeah I'd love to see Naruto with Hinata or
Naruto and Sasuke (hehe very sexy) but still... Our
little love pairs just don't look like they will work out.
Besides, Naruto is from shounen jump. That's not
a book that draws love... AAAAHHHHH I'm sooo confused :(

Yeah, it's rather sad that Kishi don't include love into the Naruto series. Naruto and Hinata would be a good pair :)

Kishimoto even said that he wanted to add more romance in the second part. Though he has so far been failing at that, he does seem to want to have a few pairings in it.

Naruto isn't all about fighting. There is a lot of passion, feelings etc involved in the series.

Kishi said he was gonna do romance, so he's gonna do it.

Besides that Naruto and Sakura have been developed a bit, IMO.

It is a shounen, so it won't be developed like it is in a Shoujo. It's gonna be mainly developed during the major parts of the manga.

lol Kishi is not good at romance so I don't even expect much from him in that department. I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled a Toriyama and put Sasuke and Ino together or something to that effect. :lmao

Other than that I agree with my girl Chee :zaru

There's already been several pairings threads.. =/

Anyway the ones I believe will happen are Naruto/Hinata (look at my sig xD) and Sasuke/Sakura. Because I feel the romantic hints dropped for them shouldn't be ignored and that they're obvious. =/

For the record, Kishi said he wants to add in more romance.

Well, this is a shounen manga and Kishimoto's idea of love could already be seen by how he treated his canon ships so far. :neutral Firstly, he only seems interested in romance as long as it has following drama, secondly only between adults and thirdly only when he can rip them apart again after they made it happen, preferably with one of both of them dying.

You would be a fool to hold your breath for anything serious to happen regarding the romance department in Naruto considering what we got so far.

The story is about 3 pairing....

TsunadeCreator, TsunadeShizune and TsunadeJiraiaya. :amuse

On a serious level. Its more about the new generation overcoming the old and about friendship. :amuse

Like I said before I would rather have none of the pairings become canon at all because of the inevitable uproar of the pairing fans will haunt NF for many years to come, though of course I didn't say I would never want my favorite pairing to become canon. :noworry

I'm interested to see how Kishi will pull off romance in Naruto.

Kishimoto even said that he wanted to add more romance in the second part. Though he has so far been failing at that, he does seem to want to have a few pairings in it.

To be honest, I think Kishimoto probably said that just as a way of pandering to his fans and/or his idea of romance is very different from the average Western Naruto fan's. In other words, his talk about including more love was almost tongue in cheek.

And, actually, he's given us quite a bit more development than he did in the past. Or, at least...

There's been consumation and marriage in the AsuKure pairing. Kurenai even broke down in tears at his death. Perhaps, that's all Kishimoto had in his depressive mind, when he mentioned romance. That and Asuma's remark towards Ino and possibly Shikamaru's further interactions with Temari.

As well as the numerous yaoi romance hints we are always given, but you know will never be explored. ^^

There's already been several pairings threads.. =/

But, this isn't a specific pairing thread. It's a thread designed to talk about whether there is room for romance in the actual manga storyline, and whether Kishimoto truly means to have any in the future. And, yes, threads mildly similar to this have been done in the past, but not for a long while and not in this exact question frame.

For me, I don't think there's going to be much romantic development beyond what we've seen. Maybe a few heartfelt moments, maybe even one or two actual couples, but not the diehard shoujo romance so many people seem to want. And, I prefer it that way. :gin

Not known for it but there have been a few good romance mangas published through there (including my favorite, I"s).

The answers about pairings and their answers are to appease fans. As far as I think, the only way you're going to see a pairing are in a fan work.

He could've been talking about AsuKure for all we know, and not any of the Konoha 12 or Sand Siblings.

Meh, ZetsuHanabi and MoegiPakkun are screaming canon in every chapter. They're just drawn veeeeeeery small. :LOS

But seriously, Kishi can easily input some worthwhile romance from this point to the end, without it having some shoujo vibe. Just because something is labeled shounen doesn't mean romance is never an issue. Look at the Goodbye Scene. There's a Love confession. NaruHina is called a Love Story by the author. Its there, its just that this isn't InuYasha.

Hmm... Considering that so far there's just more action and drama in the manga. There isn't quite room for any romance, there is hidden romance but it's not open. Like with AsuKure, we don't see them dating or walking together hand in hand or anything like that. Their love was hidden until the end when Asuma died and Kurenai was revealed to be pregnant.

We don't know how they began to like each other or anything like that for the most part, this is the ninja world and it seems that there are far more important things than love. Mind you, I would like at least a little fanservive concering about my own favorite pairings... Aww NejiHina moment would be nice, even if they're just talking or whatever I don't care. It doesn't have to be romantic anyway, I just want them to interact.

Anyway, for all as I know I'm just happy that there's some NaruSaku going on and even if it's not romantic at least they're interacting so that's what makes me happy anyway. For the Naruto world to squeeze in a little romance, I don't know, it may or never happen. If Kishimoto wants to put just a little then I hope he does, if not I'll still love my pairings:) At least fanfictions, fanarts, and doujins satisfy me.

How I see it is; they've shown love pairs before in the story line (only in the manga I think where they've revealed one that was never really well known).

But it's just that, I think if anything happens, it'll show once in a great while but will in no way be a leading factor in the story.

Yeah, love wouldn't be the focus of the story. It may be briefly mentioned though. Ah well, there is always fan fiction.

Naruto with Hinata

As I keep telling myself that Naruto is more of an Drama Comedy than a action series. So I really think that love should have a bigger perspective in the series, Hinata must confess to Naruto.

There will be no serious romance in this manga ever, especially not for your pairing and especially not in a way you wish in your crazy dreams and out of character screaming fanfictions for it.

Some intelligent people just have chosen to get over it already while some still decide to rather live in denial until the manga ends and the bad awakening is inevitable anymore. It's sad.

If Kishi was going to put romance into the series then he has failed so far unless Naruto and Sakura is the romance since that the only thing he remotely hinted in part 2. You could even argue NaruSasu if you are into yaoi. Outside of those two Kishi has failed to do anything regarding the other pairings. He may redeem himself unless he intends NaruSaku to happen later on, but to me with how the plot is going I don't see how any pairing outside of NaruSaku or NaruSasu could happen without it being forced or slapped together. I am being completely objective about this before any fanboys/girls jump down my throat.

There will be romance in Naruto, though it won't be the soul-focus of the manga, there will be romance. There already has been a little (SS Good-bye scene).

Room for love in this manga? What are y'all braindead? :huh

There's not going to be much of any kind of love or romance in this manga, Kishi's work towards implementing more of it were the scene with Sakura and Naruto, and maybe Shikamaru and Temari. Occasionally throwing Hinata out there to add a bit more seeing as once you suck the underdog and romantic aspect out of her character there's virtually nothing left.

There's not room for love in this manga, there's room for a plot and more fighting and surprises but that's about all she wrote on that aspect.

All these other pairings that are coming out of the woodworks are unlikely, and just wishful thinking on the fans part. But despite being a slim possibility, it's pretty clear that with the romance that we've already been given there's more then likely not going to be something fantastic and amazing out of no where.

It's still a possibility, of that I won't pretend otherwise. But all this NaruHina, SasuSaku, DeiTobi, ShikaIno, and a gaggle of those other slightly/barely possible pairings being shipped is if there absolute is retarded.

Just take what your given and wise up to it already. :pek
