That's why their friendship is my favorite relationship in the series. I love it because I know how amazing it is to have...I've had my version of Chouji, my best friend, in my life since I was 3 years old. It's comforting because I don't have to think or do anything when I'm with her. We can hang out and do nothing all day or night, and at the end, it will still have been a really good day, because my best friend was there. & that's kind of how I see Shikamaru feeling about Chouji...not that he'd ever voice it to this extent.
