How does the manga compare to the anime? I'm interested in reading it since I hear it has quite a few things that arent in the anime.

Also, is it being scanlated and if so, where can I download it?

[EDIT] By the way, do any chapters spoil future events in the anime?

I haven't read the manga so I don't know what's different though...

I actually got my manga from different sites. One of those is the one posted by Clouds (GGAL). GGAL contains a lot of stuff, including the manga-original material.

You can also try this site (http://hinamizawa.e-n-m.net/releases), although they haven't been updating their stuff.

As far as those I've read, the manga contains a lot of stuff that were not even shown in the anime. Gamers have claimed that the manga is more faithful to the games than the anime. Also, the manga originals (Onisarashi-hen, Yoigoshi-hen and Utsutsukowashi-hen) are just as interesting as the original eight. How these side stories connect to the original storyline is something we need to discover.

As far as scanlations are concerned, it's slow. And I do mean slow. :facepalm

And I'm planning to share my Higurashi manga collection with everyone, although I have those in my home PC, so I can't right now. Maybe later. :amuse

I doubt it will be licensed anytime soon.

Geneon licensed season one of the anime and they're pretty much dead. So right now the license is floating in limbo.

And yes, Onisarashi-hen is great. I just wish GGAL would scan it faster than normal. As of Chapter 4, Natsumi really is in total deep shit.

But yeah, she is. I think she'll end up accidentally killing her mom in self defense or something of the like. The mom is probably at Level 4. That would explain why Natsumi was in such a state in the prologue. As I said earlier, crazy mom is crazy.

Yes, it won't be a surprise if Natsumi kills her deranged mom. Damn, that bitch is really out of it. She killed her husband, her mother, and she even asked her daughter to cut the old lady to pieces. Natsumi is almost at the brink of losing it.

For all we know, Ooishi and Akasaka would add to Natsumi's stress, something that will add up to her going to L5.

I was wondering if the guy (forgot his name) could do something for her? Or maybe he'll get killed by Natsumi in case the latter goes totally to L5.
