Favorite Higurashi moments (major spoilers galore)

Title says it all.

Whether it's shocking/mindfuck/WTF-inducing scenes, moments that made you go "Hauu~"/"Ni-pah~", or those times while watching that really made you say to yourself, "Damn, I'm so blessed for having watched Higurashi"... list them here.

Spoiler-tag it or not, it's up to you. :)

But of course, for newbies to Higurashi, I highly suggest staying away from this thread. As if I needed to say that in the first place. :nod

First season:
- K1 in episode 4 when he was talking to Ooishi and killed himself at the end, it was freaking intense.
- When Rika said to K1 that Oyashiro-sama will forgive the "cats" that broke the rules.
- Shion striking Satoko with a knife.

Second season
- The first half of episode 5, with Satoko being mindfucked as hell.
- Broccoli or Cauliflower. :evil nuff said

There's a lot more moments, but this is what has come first.

Here are my favorite moments:

-The end of Onikakushi-hen and the start of Watanagashi-hen. Who wasn't mindfucked when we saw dead characters go back to life after being killed previously?
-Meakashi-hen: Shion's "distinction". The only scene in Higurashi that made me cringe.
-Meakashi-hen: Shion stabbing Satoko multiple times while Mion kept saying "I'm sorry".
-Okay, the whole Meakashi-hen arc.
-The end of Yakusamashi-hen. It was the only time I felt so bad for Satoko.
-The end of Minagoroshi-hen - when Casey and Friends joined the piñata contest but got piñata'd instead. :P
-Matsuribayashi-hen: The "duel" between Takano and Hanyuu at the shrine. It was so nice to see Hanyuu go :gar.

I could probably have other scenes in mind, but not that organized yet. Maybe later. :nod

I'll just list the first season for now:

- Keiichi's peak of insanity. Talks to Oiishi on the phone and claws his throught out.
- Keiichi figures out the only way to save Satoko was to kill her uncle. When he says "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni"
- Satoko's peak of insanity. Disbelieves Keiichi and throws him off the bridge.
- Shion's peak of insanity. Realizing that she killed Satoko, who Satoshi intrusted to her.
- Rena beating that pink-haired whore to death and chopping up her and Teppe's corpes.
- The friendship pact with Rena at the junkyard.
- Keiichi remembers the past Hinamizawas.
- The entire final episode. Keiichi fighting with Rena on the roof.

The entire Great Hinamizawa Disaster episode. I felt it had slightly more impact than the end of Minagoroshi-hen.

Onikakushi-hen:

Rena's "USO DA!" at volume level 11
Needle in Keiichi's ohagi
Keiichi slamming the door on Rena's hand and continuously saying in a crazed state "Go home!"
Rena staring at Kei's window with her lips reading "Gomen nasai"


Watanagashi-hen:

The infamous ladder scene
Shion's laughter over the phone


Tatarigoroshi-hen:

Keiichi batting Teppei to death
Miyo showing up and asking if he buried "it" properly


Himatsubushi-hen:

anything involving Rika, which pretty much means everything


Meakashi-hen:

Distinction

I realize I'm missing some but these are all I can think up at the moment.

First Season:
- USODA and GOMENASAI (I shat bricks D: )
- When K1 tries to slam door shut with Rena's fingers in between (DDDX)
- When Shion tortured Satoko

Second Season:
- When Satoko died in the hosptial. I felt so bad for Ooishi, he was so close :arg
- Everyone's GAR moments when escaping from Takano :D
- When Hanyuu went badass on Takano (:iria)
