Does Hanyuu appear in exchange student form or something this arc? Since that's what I saw in the ''new'' OP.

Does anyone know if episode 17 will be out today DX

Well, hopefully one comes out soon. And hope that Hauuu~ would put some congratulatory message for Rika somewhere. :P

That would be the icing of Rika's victory cake.

I would not be surprised if no subs come out today.

More pieces of the past are revealed. Here's how they happen chronologically.

Ones in the blue are from episode 17

- Houjou's become hated from the dam project (197x)
- Takano spends time with Tomitake (1978 or 1979)
- Irie and Takano discuss about needing a live specimen to find the microbe. (1979)
- Rika's dad explains that Rika is important for the Hinamizawa Syndrome research (1979)
- Emergency plan to eliminate Hinamizawa if the Queen is killed is set up (1979)
- Dam manager is killed (1979)
- Takano brings in one of the murderers that's suffering from L5 (1979)
- Ooishi talks about how he knew the victim (1979)
- Rika helps with the research (1979)
- Irie talks about his father (1979)
- Irie and Takano are praised with their progress of Hinamizawa Syndrome (1979)
- Satoko kills her parents (1980)
- Rika talks with Mion about Satoko (1980)
- Satoshi brings Satoko to the clinic (1980)
- Satoshi talks to Irie about Satoko (1980)
- Rika convinces Irie to use the experimental treatment on Satoko (1980)
- Irie discovers that Satoko killed her parents (1980)
- Rika's mother opposes Rika being their guinea pig (1981)
- Rika's parents withdraw their support (1981)
- Takano kills Rika's parents (1981)
- Koizumi passes away (1982 or 1983)
- Support for Hinamizawa Syndrome drops (1982 or 1983)
- Takano makes a deal with the mysterious woman (1982 or 1983)

This episode makes it seem like Koizumi passes away immediately after Takano disposed of Rika's parents. In truth that doesn't happen for a while. There's still the Watanagashi of 1982 to cover (The year Satoko's aunt is killed and Satoshi goes missing)

I'm just wondering who that woman was that Takano was talking too after the end credits. Though we'll probably never know.

Some part of Tokyo.

Takano referred to them in episode 11.

Tomitake: What is the meaning of this!?
Takano: The Hinamizawa Syndrome is like a bomb whose fuse has been lit.
Takano: Tokyo ordered us to diffuse this bomb before it exploded.
Takano: But you know...
Takano: ...there are some people in Tokyo who wish to detonate this bomb.
Tomitake: I don't believe it!
Tomitake: You should know the Hinamizawa Syndrome is an extremely dangerous disease!
Takano: Indeed.
Takano: It'll be a disaster if it explodes.
Takano: Which is why Tokyo won't be able to cover up a blunder.
Tomitake: Were you bribed by those people?
Takano: I wonder.

Thanks for keeping up with all the events for us all. I really appreciate it. :)

Congrats on reaching 8,000 posts, another 1,000 and we can make really bad jokes about it. :P

Ah and here I thought maybe it was something to make Takano's will stronger. Sort of like Takano's Hanyuu so to speak.

There is a debate whether she was really real and Takano hallucinated it. Seems a bit too convenient for her to suddenly show up.

Did anyone else think that the 'preview' at the end of this episode was funny with their 'Top 5.' :laugh

Knight of Fate

Rika is into guro :hehee

Yeah, I loved that preview. Although I liked the first "Top 5" better.

For anyone who doesn't know the real deal about Keiichi's dad (just by looking at the anime) would probably be in ":huh" mode knowing why he's in the top 5 perverts list. Having read the manga, I'm way convinced that he is. :lmao

Anyway, this episode wins, since there are another set of facts that really fit in the puzzle.

Highlights:
-Satoko is a parent killer = FTL :pek
-Suigintou Mystery woman appearing at the end scheming with Miyo = FTW.
Curious on who she is and what she plans to do. As if Miyo would just use her as leverage after her "failure".
-Rika's mom isn't as MILF material than either adult Rena or Akane. But we got to owe it to her since it was her genes that made Rika win SaiMoe. :P
-And speaking of which, Rika mentioned her win in the episode:

Okay, I know it's lame. So I'm dropping it. :P

Next episode looks very promising. I seriously miss the main cast already.

Gin-sama is hawt :LOS

Clouds-Are-Nice
11-05-2007, 04:40 PM
It's no wonder Satoko is messed up; she developed L5, she killed her own parents, and after that she's been abused... She's just nine or something. :cry

But Gin-sama was a really nice bonus in this episode.
Is this her revenge against Higurashi for winning SaiMoe? XD

I just wonder what they censored out in the 17 preview. With Hanyuu liking to ****** something.

MarthX7
11-05-2007, 04:58 PM
Seems like it was an intentional censor. Not censored because of broadcast standards; Just something you're not supposed to know.

"Hanyuu **** as well"

I wonder if the silver-haired woman is the true final villain.

Kira Yamato
11-05-2007, 07:46 PM
Yeah, I think even Miyo has someone manipulating her which doesn't seem that far-fethced since she has seem unstable at times, with the only thing keeping her going is her steely resolve.

So it was Satako that killed her parents and it seems like Miyo was the one that killed Rikas parents :S that sucks.
