Now we are actually seeing him fight. Who do you think would win this?

They are as knowledgeable about eachother as they are in the manga atm. All are bloodlusted.

Seriously, his Katons and Dotons haven't blown me away, his elemental prowess actually pales in comparison to Sasuke. So there's that.

Speed? Genjutsu? Tactics? No question, that's Sasuke. He can make great use of teammates that he actually trusts.

All Jiraiya does is fucking summon. That's it. That's all he does. His fighting style is, effectively, useless against Sasuke. Anything he conjures up, Sasuke un-does.

He's got Hermit mode, which transforms him. All it basically does is give him 2 frogs on his shoulders that can spit their tongue in the EXACT manner Sasuke can call snakes from his sleeves. Those abilities cancel out.

I think forcing both Itachi and Kisame to run and use Amatarasu because of one of his summons show how useful they can be.

His hair can be cut with chidori sword easily. Barrier detection doesn't make a difference in this battle...it only serves to detect an invisible target. The same with his shadow manipulation....he needs a decoy and only works at the beginning of a battle to take the enemy by surprise.

For the last time Just because Manda was caught in a genjutsu doesn't mean everyother summon is acceptable to genjutsu

Sasuke is no gennin but he is not the strongest at anything in this manga, he still has to grow up, it would be a stupid and disrespectful for Kishi to make a 15 years old no matter who he is stronger and superior to a 50 years old important character that carries the sannin name and is at the same time the master of the main character and one of the most experienced shinobi ever. Guess what, Jiraiya is the strongest good guy at this moment, he actually is fighting and surviving against the strongest bad guy we ever saw fighting, it doesn’t require too much intelligence to see Sasuke is not on their level right now, and is far from there.

Jiraiya´s elemental jutsus aren’t that bad. He has shown impressive stuff. Jiraiya has already used dotons (A-rank), katons (C-Rank, better than any Katon Sasuke used), and he has the five elemental jutsu thing that allowed him to open the scroll the Gama frog had in his belly. While in part two Sasuke has only shown us raitons, that’s not enough to defeat someone like Jiraiya who controls the five elements, especially when he has two frogs on his shoulders to help him, frogs whose knowledge allows them to know how to counter simple elemental jutsus.

I doubt Sasuke can genjutsu Pa and Ma. Jiraiya said he is a tadpole when compared to them. So if Jiraiya alone is already superior to Sasuke then the gap between the uchiha kid and Pa and Ma must be even bigger. Do not forget that when Jiraiya has those two frogs with him it’s like you’re fighting three ninjas at the same time, I would say, three kage level ninjas, and that was the reason Pein summoned two bodies, now its three on three.

Controlling gamabunta is one thing, controlling Pa and Ma is another. Ancient frogs with knowledge like no other aren’t that easy to put in a genjutsu.

No matter what you say frogs are better summons than snakes. In a direct confrontation the snakes can beat the frogs but for that the summons have to have similar strength, for now Sasuke has no Manda so it doesn’t matter if the snakes can beat the frogs because his strongest snake is dead.

And that’s what Jiraiya´s summons are for. They are fast, they are strong, they are capable of protecting Jiraiya no matter the opponent. Proof of this is that one of the weaker frogs Ken-san was able to survive the attacks of a much stronger guy than Sasuke, Pein is on another level, Jiraiya fighting him and not dying fast means he too is stronger than Sasuke.

And you are forgetting that Jiraiya by himself is already strong enough to beat Sasuke, summoning Pa and Ma is just in case Sasuke´s that jutsu is strong enough to push Jiraiya further, like I said Kishi would be too dumb if he made Sasuke already stronger than Jiraiya, if this is the case, Itachi is gonna die 20 chapter from here since Sasuke will meet Itachi.

He wasn't trying to do it by himself if that's what your saying. He was trying to gather up chakra, summon and fuse with Ma and Pa. Ma and Pa just said that he needs to learn to do it by himself. Jiraya didn't attempt to do it by himself, he knows that he can't do it.

I can't see Sasuke using the power of teamwork that well (not knowing much about Sakura's new skills, as well?), but then again, Sakura is too indirect a fighter and Sasuke is too smart to fall under Sakura's smashy-smashy, his speed also considered.

If they do manage to work together, it would probably be very strategic, considering how smart both are. However, if they can come up with a good enough plan on the spot that will beat Jiraiya...I'm not incredibly sure. Jiraiya has not only a penis under his belt, but experience. And how much do they know about Jiraiya's skill, anyway?

I think they can last a while though; Sasuke's got fast healing as well and Sakura has medical ninjutsu to help herself-- and maybe Sasuke, if he permits.
