Let's start off with why Mizuki deserves his own FC.

Top Ten Reasons Why Mizuki Pwns
10) He's got a cool hat.
9) Mizuki's the only villain that actually has a good reason to underestimate Naruto! I mean, Mizuki saw at school that Naruto couldn't even tie his ninja shoes. How could he expect the lamest kid in school to learn a forbidden technique in less than a day?
8) A villain who pwns someone with just kunai! We all saw Iruka against that tree, getting the beat-down with some simple kunai. No fancy crap for Mizuki.
7) He was practically the star in the first episode! I'm sure we all thought Mizuki was going to be the main villain of the series at first.
6) Mizuki fooled everyone, even the Hokage himself! Now that is using true ninja skills.
5) Rules the school! Mizuki is definitely the best teacher at Kohona. Who would you rather have? Powerful, charming, slick-fingered Mizuki, or angry, loud, scar-nosed, bloody-nosed, big-nosed Iruka? Survey says: (ding) Mizuki! Plus, he will go easy on you at the big final exam.
4) Mizuki survived the beat-down of not one- not two- but like a thousand ninjas! And they had to be from the most hyper ninja of them all. That had to be agonizing, with a million punches coming from that bag of orange sugar.
3) It's all thanks to Mizuki that we even know that Naruto is a demon fox. Mizuki was the only one smart enough to know that honesty is the best policy. If it wasn't for Mizuki, Naruto still wouldn't know why everyone looks at him coldly, to this very day!
2) Form a line, ladies! Everyone knows that Mizuki's the hottest chuunin in Leaf Village.
1) And best of all, you don't have to go looking through the drawer, wondering where that dull pizza cutter is, when Mizuki's at your party! That's right, Mizuki is the best blade spinner in the entire Fire Country. Did you see how quick he can spin those giant shuriken? He's an expert! Better stay out of his crosshairs when those metal blades start to twirl.

Mizuki Fun Fact: Did you know you can play as Mizuki in the Gamecube Naruto fighting games? Shows how important he is! Plus he's got a sweet super-move - he chucks four of his giant shuriken (one for each limb) at his enemy when he forces them down to the ground. And then he POUNDS his/her stomach. Pretty awesome. And if you're health is in the red, he'll spin in place upon landing, and you all know how fun that can be. It's always cool to kick Itachi's butt with Mizuki, too, to put that show-off/whipper-snapper back in his place.

Mizuki Fun Fact 2: Mizuki was born on October 21st, and that's in the Autumn, which is when leaves start to fall, and he's in the Leaf Village! Coincidence? I think not!

Mizuki Conspiracy Theories
So... what did happen to Mizuki? Where is he now?
Is he stuck in the ninja equivalent of a prison? And if so, what will Mizuki do once his term is up? How long would he have been sentenced to? Could he escape with a small, secret mini-blade of his?
Or how about this - Mizuki only pretended to be beaten up by Naruto! While Iruka and Naruto are turned around, talking about ramen and becoming a man, Mizuki may have ran off! He may have become a missing-nin, and is currently plotting his revenge on Naruto. Hmm, sounds good.
Of course, there's always the obvious. Everyone's thinking it, but I'll be the one that says it. Mizuki is the leader of the Akatsuki! Think about it. The first villain of the series shows up for just one episode, and vanishes. So wouldn't it be a cool surprise? The drama, I tell you! The mayhem! The chaos! The giant blades of DOOM!

He was probably Aoba's best freind in school, untill Aoba's MOM decided Mizuki was too impudent for Aoba to bring home for supper anymore. Can't fool MOM.
Having his bestest friend torn from him at such a tender age probably ruined both of them, turning them into the interesting and sadly ignored characters they are today.

(I'll bet Sasuke's mom didn't like him either. Mom's are like that. But will the menfolk listen to them when they say something's wrong with that boy? Neooooo. Um. Anyway.)

Welcome aboard the Mizuki Boat, TenshiOni and skmt999! Glad you like what we've got so far. And thanks for the little bouncy ball. Perhaps Mizuki can bounce it off his prison wall to keep himself occupied.

And Aoba may have been friends with Mizuki, though he might have chilled with trouble-makers Kotetsu and Izumo as well. We all know Anko had a huge crush on Mizuki, but she was just too weird for him. And Mizuki was far from impudent - he had great table manners! You can just tell by looking at Mizuki - he's so sophisticated-looking. When Naruto is dubbed, I bet Mizuki will have a British accent. Aoba's mom stopped wanting Mizuki over after an incident where Aoba wanted to try out Mizuki's cool blades, and he ended up chucking it into the kitchen table! That of course didn't bode well with the 'rents, so Mizuki took the blame so that Aoba's parents would still let Aoba go to ninja school.

Welcome to 'da club, Hayabusa and Martial Horror!
All right, we've reached five members now! Look out, Naruto FC! Mizuki's chugging along at the speed of one of those cool blades of his.

And Mizuki's not necessarily a bad guy. He's just wanting to make himself a better ninja. I mean, what if Naruto never learned Kage Bunshin? He would've died ten times by now!! That's like the only thing he can do. He'd be fighting like Sakura if he didn't have that super cloning ability.
Now, imagine Mizuki with that ability! Holy crap, can you say "tidal wave of big spinning blades?" Boo-yah! Konoha would be so much better off with Mizuki having that ability - not in the hands of a troublesome 12-year-old.
Normally Mizuki would just chat it up with the Hokage, but hey, it's not a good idea to go asking old guys for favors. They'd just go "Back in my day, we had to learn those techniques! Butt naked in the snow!" So Mizuki's like "Well, I'll just read underneath the underneath." He's the only one that figured it out! That's the reason those scrolls are "forbidden." A ninja worth his sauce knows that secret skills are ones worth stealing, and ninjas are supposed to go be tricky and such to get those ancient skills. Mizuki would've passed Konoha's ultimate ninja test, if Iruka hadn't gone and been a spoilsport. Mizuki would've become a jounin, and earned the Hokage's Golden Star of Approval, and been named Ninja of the Month.

<Mizuki's team (Mizuki, Aoba, and Ebisu) gathers with Hayate's team (Hayate, Genma, and Ibiki)>

Ebisu: Damage a dam? Why, I never.
Mizuki: Come on Aoba, let's get away from Hayate's team and complete this mission ourselves.
Aoba: OKAY!!!111 HEY, DID YOU HEAR THAT THERE'S A WAR GOING ON!
Mizuki: (thinking) Whenever I start wondering if Aoba makes a good friend, I just look at Hayate's team.
Hayate: Uuuuhhhh... (cough) Heeeeey, Mizuki, let's (cough) do the mis-(cough)-sion.
Ibiki: We can't go now, Hayate! My scars HURT!
Genma: You don't have any scars yet, Ibiki.
Ibiki: That's how bad they're going to be! They'll be so bad, they're hurting NOW!

Genma: Go on the mission.

<the two teams reach the Rock Country's dam>

<Aoba runs back to the rest of the group, hiding behind a rock>
Mizuki: Okay guys, here's the plan.
Ebisu: The plan of a low-life such as yourself?
Mizuki: What, do you have a plan?
Ebisu: Why as a matter of fact, I do. But first, a flashback about my childhood, and how it pertains to our current situation.

<5-year-old Ebisu sits at a dinner table, eating some toast>
Ebisu: My word, this toast could have singed my tongue had I but cooked it a minute longer.

Ebisu: Well, I'm not quite entirely sure how it fits into this storyline, but it is back-story about me, nonetheless.
Mizuki: Ugh, you've wasted valuable time again, Ebisu!
Ebisu: Well, just give me but a moment, and I shall ascertain our position.
<Ebisu looks over the rock, to see an army of a hundred Rock nins approaching>
Ebisu: Can anyone summon a very large something-or-other?
Mizuki: I can't.
Genma: I can't either.
Hayate: Uhhhhh... <cough>
Ibiki: THE PAIN!!! I can already feel it coming!
Aoba: HEY, DID YOU GUYS KNOW WE'VE BEEN ASSIGNED A MISSION TO DO!!11
Everyone in unison: A-O-BA!
Mizuki: Okay, here's the plan. Everyone run to that pile of rocks there, where we'll lose the Rock nins. Then we can make a circle around them, and reach the dam. Then we destroy it somehow. Just remember, we have to be secretive about this.
Aoba: OOH! LIKE AT IRUKA'S BIRTHDAY PARTY????!!!112222
Mizuki: Uh... I guess so...?
<the six run towards the pile of rocks, and lose the Rock nins>
<Aoba jumps in front of the pile of rocks>
Aoba: SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!11111 ^_^
Mizuki: Aoba, you buffoon!
<Rock nins chase after them, as they run towards the rock dam>
<the six of them start beating against the dam with their kunai>

Genma: We're going to have to use something sharper than those cool blades of yours, Mizuki.
Ebisu: Like what? Nothing is sharper than Mizuki's blades. Except myself of course - ha ha, ha - I made a pun.
<Genma spits his toothpick at the dam, which begins to crumble>
Everyone: Hooray!
Rock nins: Oh no!
<the dam breaks into pieces, and the river rushes out like a rushing river>
<the Leaf nins and the Rock nins are all caught in the rushing river, and all the Rock nins drown>
<and the Rock village which happened to be built beneath the dam is destroyed>
<the six Leaf nins float to safety inside Leaf village>
Aoba: THEY MAY HAVE WON THE BATTLE, BUT THEY HAVEN'T WON THE WAR!!!
Ebisu: We won the battle, you nincompoop.
Ibiki: Aw man, wasn't worth it though! That water was FREEZING!

Mizuki suffered enough torture as it is when he got punched 8,437 times by all those abnoxious Naruto clones. He wouldn't want to go living his life looking like Iruka, lol. And if he was, he could've backhanded Naruto a dozen times by now, since they're chilling at the ramen joint so much.

On the other hand, it would be cool and clever if he did that switch like the day before Naruto shows up one day at Kohona, or something.

Naruto: Hey, Iruka! I just completed an awesome mission! Go buy me some ramen!

Tsunade's pretty stubborn though- but if Mizuki got her mad enough, she'd send the prison walls crumbling down without realizing what she was doing.

Really, though - I'm betting he snuck off to learn secret jutsus from another country. Rock maybe. We never hear anything about Rock except when it's nins are getting beat up. Perfect place to hide, no one would expect it. He's probably working his way up the food chain as we type. Someday when Naruto becomes Hokage, he'll have to deal with Mizuki - the Kage of Rock!! (is that Dokage or Tsuchikage? brainfart.)

i also had another thought about Mizuki, along the lines as him being brought to prison there must be other prisoners! i mean they have the demon brother locked away somewhere since they werent killed my kakashi. he couls easily hook up with them and go back and take over zabuzas forces. i remember seeing him with a few shinobi from the mist, i mean the man had subordinates of course. with his skill, charm and overall wit he could form his own country. maybe those cresent moon head bands and such we have seen are signs of mizuki's success!
i dont think he is the type to fall into a group of whack-jobs like Akatsuki let alone the conflict between the leaf and sound so i think he is just waiting, gaining strenght...and....and.... okay after this i really dont know what to say

and on Mizuki, of course he knew ninjutsu but why use it against a worthless kid like naruto? at the time he couldnt do anything so why waste it on him when a simple back hand should take him out? hell just throw a sharp object at him and watch him bleed out O_o;; not like he saw what happen coming.. naruto pulled off one hell of a surprise.. i mean comeon you watch a kid for a few years doing nothing but screwing up the simple stuff you tend to not think he can learn a complicated forbidden jutsu and pound your ass into the ground.

Yeah. He was so busy trying to pick his jaw up off the ground that he forgot to get serious. That, and I think to him seeing a million Narutos at once was absolute hell. His brain fried. The only attack that could have gotten him, simply because of the "There's more of you?! Neeeoooooooo!!!!11bbqspork!!" factor. If Naruto had done his Oiroke, it would have been laughed at by a suave fellow like Mizuki. He'd probably counter with one of his own that would make Naruto blush and hide his head. Thus making sure he didn't notice the BLADE FLYING TOWARDS HIS HEAD!!!1

And now it's time to explain the infamous battle between Mizuki and Naruto.

Kids these days are going "Aw man, Mizuki's the worst villain ever, 'cuz he got beat by Naruto when he wasn't even a genin!"
First of all, there's been worse villains in the series - and there's been few that are cooler. But that's beside the point.
Second of all, Naruto's the star of the show. You always got to weigh that factor in, lol.
Third of all, Mizuki didn't have any more of his spiffy blades, so he couldn't defend himself.
Fourth of all - come on, there were 1000 of them. I bet most chuunins would have been pwned by 1000 Narutos - or 1000 of any school ninja for that matter. When you get that many of them, there's not much a chuunin can do.
Fifth of all, there was no reason for Mizuki to think that Naruto could pull off a single clone, let alone 1000 of them. He is the only villain to have a good reason to underestimate Naruto.
Sixth of all - okay, so Mizuki sucks.

But he still pwns.


And Meizu, I kind of like the idea of Mizuki in a prison cell with the Demon Brothers (they were cool villains that got pwned quick too). One day they'll escape, and form their own underground network, selling drugs from the Cloud Village.
And yeah, Mizuki had bad luck, but so did Iruka, lol. And Hayate had really bad luck, getting killed and all. Genma had bad luck as well (and his jounin buddy... Raido? And now it's time to explain the infamous battle between Mizuki and Naruto.

Kids these days are going "Aw man, Mizuki's the worst villain ever, 'cuz he got beat by Naruto when he wasn't even a genin!"
First of all, there's been worse villains in the series - and there's been few that are cooler. But that's beside the point.
Second of all, Naruto's the star of the show. You always got to weigh that factor in, lol.
Third of all, Mizuki didn't have any more of his spiffy blades, so he couldn't defend himself.
Fourth of all - come on, there were 1000 of them. I bet most chuunins would have been pwned by 1000 Narutos - or 1000 of any school ninja for that matter. When you get that many of them, there's not much a chuunin can do.
Fifth of all, there was no reason for Mizuki to think that Naruto could pull off a single clone, let alone 1000 of them. He is the only villain to have a good reason to underestimate Naruto.
Sixth of all - okay, so Mizuki sucks.

But he still pwns.


And Meizu, I kind of like the idea of Mizuki in a prison cell with the Demon Brothers (they were cool villains that got pwned quick too). One day they'll escape, and form their own underground network, selling drugs from the Cloud Village.
And yeah, Mizuki had bad luck, but so did Iruka, lol. And Hayate had really bad luck, getting killed and all. Genma had bad luck as well (and his jounin buddy... Raido? Something like that), getting hospitalized by the Sound Four. Anko had bad luck too, in the one battle she had. Shizune had bad luck too in her one battle. And of course Ibiki's had bad luck (lol).

Eh, Aoi was a teacher himself. So he's about the same age as Mizuki, I would guess. Aoi basically did the same thing as Mizuki - tricked one of his lame pupils into stealing some powerful ninja thing. Aoi was a bit more successful though, lol.
But in the long run - Aoi's dead while Mizuki's relaxing at the jail cell.

I just think that Mizuki being the Akatsuki leader would be funny - and of course very ironic. Everyone - and I mean everyone - characters and readers alike - knows that Mizuki sucked in the one episode he starred in. I can just imagine the look on Naruto's face... Lol, that'd be so awesome though. It'd be the biggest surprise in manga history.

Of course, it doesn't make much sense, since Akatsuki leader's silhoette doesn't really match Mizuki at all. Oh well.

And I don't think Mizuki would want to go within 10 miles of Orochimaru. Just not Mizuki's style. If anything, Mizuki would look for a way to use Orochimaru for his own plans. Mizuki's not the type to just go up to enemies and fight them - he just uses his treachery to achieve his goals. It's something we don't get from too many villains in the series, who just charge in and fight the heroes. I suppose Haku and Kabuto are tricky, as is Orochimaru himself.
I don't know. Mizuki's the type who double-crosses and uses others' weaknesses against them.

So, let's say Mizuki's in jail. He would probably start off by being really nice to all the other prisoners - by doing enough favors for them, he gains their trust. The time comes for his big escape plan. The other prisoners follow Mizuki's plan because it sounds really good. Once they all escape, Mizuki's bound to be the leader of the outfit. Mizuki and his band of cohorts make their way to some random village - let's say the Grass Village. After they beat up a group of fishermen outside of the village, Mizuki and Co dress up like Grass village peasants. Over the course of the year, the group becomes official Grass jounins after saving the village from a gang of some sort. They eventually become friends with high-ranking Grass shinobi, and before you know it, Mizuki and Co have great ninja power in the Grass Country, with Mizuki at the helm. Now, Mizuki analyzes the balance of power between all the countries, and makes deals with various gangs and bands of robbers to make attacks on Konoha. Mizuki knows that the gangs will be wiped out, but also knows that Konoha should also receive losses as well. When Konoha is at its weakest, Mizuki can make his move - the Grass nins attack. And they win.

Fan clubs are just topics where you support a character or whatever it is the FC is for. If you join you're added to a list which shows how popular that character is on the message board. Some fan clubs say things for members that they can do, but most of them (like this one) you don't have to do anything. It's all just for fun (and in fact, this fan club is just for laughs, really). You can put a little banner in your signature just if you want to. Most people that join FCs don't - they're just to support the characters. You can join as many FCs as you want too.
Most FCs just have "Do ya wanna join da club?" then the next 800 posts are "I wanna join da club" and "Okay you're added to da club." But that's no fun, so cool FCs have fanart and stuff to read and stuff.

Anyways, back to the topic.

Yeah, Orochimaru sacrificed Zaku and Kin (the Sound genins who lost to Shino and Shikamaru) to summon the first and second Hokage. But I always wondered if Orochimaru had to actually have the corpses somewhere, or if he just summoned them out of nowhere using his jutsu. I'm guessing the latter, but it's still funny to imagine him digging up the graves at Konoha, lol.

As for Mizuki and the forbidden jutsus - namely kage bunshin, Naruto was only able to master it since he has such an extreme amount of chakra to spare.
Mizuki would probably have to study the scroll and practice the jutsu for a while to get the hang of it, without depleting his chakra really quick or hurting himself. Kage bunshin is supposed to be a forbidden jutsu after all, though I suppose it's not as forbidden, as say, the whole Kyubbi sealing jutsu that the Third Hokage was worried about. Anyways, Mizuki probably would have to take at least take a week or two of constant training to get the move down - this is just a random estimate for average chuunin chakra levels. I don't have any Mizuki stats to go off of.
We don't know how many cool jutsus were on that scroll either. Naruto said he only learned the first one while training in the forest. There might've been a truckload of cool but dangerous jutsus that Mizuki might have been able to master, which could've made him a more formidable villain in the long run. Makes me wonder how much farther ahead in his plans Mizuki had thought out.

LOL, and thanks for clearing up one of the biggest mysteries of the Naruto series - the mystery of "What Happened to Mizuki's Grandma." XD

Hmm, I would bet that if anything, Mizuki and Iruka were rivals at best. Although they acted like just regular old co-workers in the first episode.
I think Iruka is probably friends with other secondary characters though - at least perhaps the other teachers.

i was wondering what stops us from believing that Mizuki was in fact from another country! who knows, maybe he somehow got into the hidden leaf. there defenses were prety much down during the time of peace and he could work his way into the rankings and get himself established in a job as...well a teacher where he could finish his mission and get the forbidden jutsu's for his country... and maybe, along the way he got greedy and wanted it for himself. he is skilled, smart and manipulative.

he could be rock, grass, mist, cloud... hell for all we know he is snow or sound. i think its a possibility. not like we seen him in flashbacks. just a ninja hardly noticed until getting a job at the school. and even then Iruka seemed to be more of the 'there' man out of the two.
(and yes i understand there is not only one class and so while its focused on Iruka, mizuki could be teaching another class)

Yeah, it's a pretty random FC... But is it? I mean, Mizuki is one of the very first characters of the whole series! And he's been unheard of ever since... The very first villain of the series, too! Unless you count Kyubbi. But that loser got about 8 seconds of screen time before being pwned.

I just watched episode 1 again, and love the way Mizuki side steps the star thrown at him by Iruka. Not only does he seemingly glide away from it, he does it with his eyes closed...and smiling too!

Aw man, that part was awesome! Mizuki was cool in the part before too. Mizuki's all like, "Dance for me, Naruto!" And he chucks his spinning blade at him - the blades all zig-zagging back and forth as Naruto stumbles forward a few steps. Iruka's all "NARUTO!" and then gets impalred.
But yeah, that was great how he just "huuh" and steps to the side of the rushing blade, which probably ends up killing some random hobo living in the forest. He wasn't exactly smiling - it was kind of a pompous, stuck-up frown, really. But yeah, he acted like it was no big deal, just the same.

Another great Mizuki moment is when Mizuki shows up when Naruto's on the swing, and to make the whole thing dramatic, the show has this transparent close-up of Mizuki's caring face. Lol, great stuff.
You know, they did that effect a lot in the first episode, now that I re-watch it. They also enjoyed using those Looney Tune sounds.

Well, I'll just say I'm happier without those sound effects. >=}

And I thought that was a cool shot with Mizuki spinning the blade too (hence why it used it). It was a PAIN to make into an intro banner though. The shot lasts about .02 seconds, so I had to play it again and again to take a picture of each bit of him, and then paste each section together, cutting bits and parts and resizing them all exactly the same.
It was good that the action went quickly though. That's something I'm annoyed at at times, is when the characters stare at each other for over 10 seconds. No, once you're done giving your insults... you ATTACK!
Anyways, I think it'd make a great animated gif (having the blade spinning - but not having Mizuki moving). That's really hard to do though since the camera is moving towards the blade while he spins it. And I'm not good at making anigifs in the first place.

I'll probably post some Mizuki pics some time, when things start slowing down here. If we're lucky, this FC will last a month. =]

Anyways, this chidori-blade idea seems pretty cool. If Sasuke were smart, he'd have thought that one up. I mean, chidori only covers such a small area. Now, with the diameter of a huge blade like Mizuki's, that chidori would be way more effective. =] Of course, it'd probably be way harder, but hey, that's where skill comes in.

btw - started the series over again, and noticed a couple of things.

1. Mizuki's body disappears from the forest floor in between being beaten to a pulp by thousands of eevil Narutos and the time that Iruka ties his ate onto Naruto's head.

- If anyone had been there to 'retreive' Mizuki, they would have made a fuss over Iruka, probably taking him to the Hospital to treat that back wound. So to me that means that Mizuki wasn't beat up all that bad and he got up and left.

2. People call Mizuki a liar, but he's not. He told Naruto that if he stole that scroll and learned something from it that Iruka would let him graduate. He did. It might have been different if Naruto had learned something other than the one type of jutsu that had failed him in the first place... but that's beside the point. Mizuki didn't lie.

Mizuki's only failing was in misunderstanding Naruto's main motivations. A lot of people grow resentful and bitter when ignored. He assumed that Naruto had, too. Naruto is just to darned optomistic and cheerful (and dare I say stupid?) to be that bitter at this point in the series. A year later and maybe it would have worked. I don't know.

Anyway. Yeah. Like that makes a difference, but I thought I'd share my observations. Not that no one else has noticed this before. ;-)

- Not only is MIZUKI gone when Iruka gives Naruto his ate, but so is the SCROLL. Now, someone surely should have said something about this.

Of course, since the show is about NARUTO, once he learned the multi-kagebunshin from it, it ceased to mean anything to the series... So if there was a big fuss over it's disappearance, then we wouldn't have known about it, since it had nothing to do with Naruto. (or Sasuke...)

So Mizuki is running around loose with an entire scroll of forbidden techniques. A sure way to buy his way into any of the rival Villages. After learning what he could, of course. ;-)

I can't believe I hadn't noticed this... but,

IT'S TRUE!

Do you believe in miracles? YES! The truth is out there! Mizuki escaped! And not only did he escape, but he ran off WITH THE FORBIDDEN SCROLL OF SEALING. Mizuki is AWESOME!!! While Naruto and Iruka were laughing and tickling each other, Mizuki quit playing possum and ran off without them even knowing it! Aw man, everything they did in the first episode WAS FOR NOTHING! LOL, Mizuki PWNS!

Here's the proof!

The first picture is right after Mizuki's been beaten up by the thousand Narutos. He's about ten or so feet from the tree Iruka's mucking about on.

The second picture brings the great revelation! Mizuki is GONE. He is NOWHERE to be seen. Naruto had his eyes closed at the time, right? And Iruka was too busy taking off his forehead protector, worrying about his back injury, and beaming with pride for Naruto's accomplishment. The two of them didn't even notice Mizuki left! And they didn't notice the scroll was gone, either!

The third picture just works as further proof - the camera pans back further and further, with no signs of Mizuki anywhere around Iruka and Naruto. No signs of the scroll, either!

THE TRUTH ABOUT MIZUKI IS FINALLY HERE!

OMG, and everyone was calling Mizuki the worst villain ever! When in reality...
MIZUKI IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL VILLAIN OF ALL NARUTO-DOM!!!
And he did it right in the first episode! Genius!

Holy crap, now everyone's gonna have to join this fan club in HERDS.

Did Zabuza succeed in killing the bridge-builder? NO, because HE SUCKS!
Did Itachi succeed in capturing Naruto? NO, because HE SUCKS!
Did Orochimaru succeed in destroying Konoha, the Leaf Village? NO, because HE SUCKS!

But Mizuki? No, no, no. He stole that Scroll of Sealing like no other could. Mizuki FOOLED the Hokage, and while he may have lost the battle against Naruto - Mizuki won the war by successfully stealing the highly powerful super-top secret scroll and escaping Konoha with little more than a few bad bruises.

Now, there's a villain we should truly be serious about.

Mizuki lives!! if that shadow clone jutsu was the first jutsu on the scroll just think of the more powerful and forbidden Abilities that are further into the scroll.

(shadow clone jutsu isnt really all forbidden and secret, it seems to be used by enough shinobi to be considered just a high level variation of a basic ninja skill)

who knows maybe Mizuki is that Akatsuki leader?! lol
the longer he takes to return the more powerful he will be, i hope he takes all the time he needs and returns to prove all those morons wrong! lol

The things you notice while watching things over again. He could be anywhere with that baby!

It's the MULTIPLE part of this version of Kagebunshin that makes it dangerous. Expends a lot of chakra that, lets face it, most shinobi don't have. Naruto is 'special' in that he has more chakra than he knows what to do with, so it wasn't that much of a difference between multiple-kagebunshin and kagebunshin. ;-)

I'd love to know what else is on that scroll. I assume the majority are on the subject of sealing and unsealing, or it wouldn't be called the Scroll of Sealing.... but obviously it has more in it than stuff to do with seals. ;-)

Mizuki probably didn't REALLY run away, and the scroll's probably just fine, underneath the Hokage's pillow. But, that's no fun to say - especially in this fan club. We'll say that what we see is what we get, and that Mizuki ran off with the scroll. >=}
(And I don't really think that Zabuza, Orochimaru, or Itachi suck - I was just making things a bit more dramatic - and hey, I've got a point, right?)

Anyways, maybe something on that scroll was some really powerful/forbidden (those two always go together) jutsu that gave Mizuki the kind of eyes that the Akatsuki leader has. It might not be a bloodline limit - just a whacked jutsu of some sort.

Oh, what am I thinking? Mizuki will never be the Akatsuki leader.

But he's got to be doing something... especially if he has that scroll. Maybe he snuck over to the Snow Country, and killed the princess. Lol. Or perhaps he blew up the Great Naruto Bridge. Or became a jounin at the Rain Vi- no, that place sucks.

Well, whatever Mizuki's doing, it's probably cool. Right?

You know, maybe I should just take the forum member list and start typing them all in. I think everyone is a fan of Mizuki, at least subconsciously!

I mean, think about it! If the people here didn't enjoy the first episode/chapter, they wouldn't have kept watching the show or reading the manga! And if the first episode/chapter wasn't so awesome, they wouldn't have kept enjoying the series. If Mizuki sucked, nobody would've cared about the storyline, right? So everyone that visits this board is a fan of the Naruto series - that means everyone here had to enjoy the first episode/chapter! At least most of us - we usually judge a series by the first thing we watch, after all. So we all have Mizuki to thank, for making the first episode so cool.

Well, Naruto and Iruka (and the Hokage) helped out a bit, but come on. Where are they now? Naruto's mucking about, as always, meeting people that are just like him, and teaching bad guys that underestimate him how it is to protect your friends. Meanwhile, Iruka's been delegated to eating some ramen every 43 episodes, and Hokage shows his mettle by getting killed. Let's face it - the first episode was all about Mizuki.

I think I'll make an "Everyone Loves Mizuki" banner of some kind. I think everyone does love Mizuki - they just haven't realized it!

For the opening banner, I took a few pictures of the scene where Mizuki launches off his awesome blade, and pasted them together to make one long picture, and added the text. I took pics from the manga and anime for the little signature buttons. For the Ten Reasons and other info, I just used what we know about him in the manga and anime. And then we've come up with our theories of where Mizuki is now, and what he's up to. Pank made some fanart, and skmt999 made some Mizukimoticons.

<scene begins>
(screen is black, suddenly a light is flicked on. We see a konoha ninja standing in a doorway to a room, having just flicked a light switch. He is in a jail. He looks into a nearby cell...)

Ninja: This.... what is this ?!?!

(scene changes to tsunade at her desk (maybe sleeping?). Some ninjas come in.)

Ninjas: Tsunade-sama!

Tsunade: What is it?

Ninjas: We have just discovered something! You must take a look at it!

Tsunade: Oh alright.

(Tsunade and the ninjas leave the room. The Scene changes back to the jail room)

Tsunade: What is this?! Who does this cell belong to?

(Ninja hands her a portfolio of papers.)

Tsunade (looking at photo on paper): I see... so this is who the cell belongs to... but then who is the man in there??

Ninja: We don't know, but he appears to be dead.

Tsunade: I'll get to work right away on what kind of jutsu this could be!

(they exit the room. Scene changes to Kakashi and Naruto's team that are in some city or town. They appear to be eating in a restaurant of some kind. Suddenly, a ninja runs up to them.)

Ninja: Are you Kakashi?!?

Kakashi: Yes.

Ninja: We have just received word... that jutsu that you described being used by the Akatsuki.. the one where they can possess other's bodys... it seems that someone in the Konoha Jail has also been vicitimized by it...

Kakashi: What!? Who else has the ability to use such a jutsu!?

Ninja: Well, although we cannot be sure if this is his true name, according to our reports, his name is...

(scene changes to the Akatsuki Cave where we see many shadowy Akatsuki figures standing there.)

Random Akatsuki Shadow: Well... It seems that your plan is progressing just as you planned.... Who would have known that one of the greatest villages, Konoha Village, would fall for such a simple trick... ?

(The Akatsuki leader steps out of the shadows and the camera zooms on the top part of his body where we see it is none other than Mizuki. The below is said as he is stepping out of the shadows.)

Random Akatsuki Shadow: ... eh, Mizuki?

So, you all saw Mizuki in the Toonami promo, right? He was practically touted as the main character. He's all wooshing down to the ground, with his giant blades in tow, acting cool. All the American kids are going to dress up as Mizuki, by the time Halloween comes around, since he's so cool - and the promo proves it! He got more screentime than sissy Itachi, at least!
"Any test can be your final exam!" Indeed! At least when Mizuki's around to wreak UTTER MAYHEM.

Heck yeah, of course you weren't the only one. Everyone had to yell out a cheer when Mizuki flew by on their television sets. Like, my whole block's houses wer simultaneously raised a foot when that moment came. I heard that Los Angeles had to call a "snow day" for the occasion, and that Tokyo registered a 22.0 earthquake due to the enormous Mizuki-themed cheer that erupted across the city. I mean, it had been a while since Mizuki showed up on TV for them.

Speaking of fillers, who thinks that Mizuki's going to be the warlord of the Rice Country? Heck yeah, that fat feudal lord was definitely ousted by the likes of Mizuki, and his ninja goons - like the one that Naruto and Sakura ran into. Any episode now, we'll see Mizuki's gleaming mug, as he reveals his awesome plan to conquer the ninja world. And this time, he will be totally ready for Naruto's kage bunshin, and unlike every other villain, Mizuki won't underestimate Naruto's abilities. The second Mizuki gets the chance, he'll have Sakura at gunpoint (or blade-point), and force Nartuo to wield the Kyubbi power to him, via some technique on the forbidden scroll he stole. Then Mizuki will kill both Naruto and Sakura, and use his new Kyubbi power to send Jiraiya and his frogs flying onto Orochimaru's hidden Sound Village, killing everyone within, including Orochimaru and Sasuke. And Akatsuki will just happen to be there, so they'll all die too. I mean, Gamabunta's butt can't be defeated. Mizuki wins - THERE IS NO ARGUING ABOUT IT. My claims are entirely justified.

And now that I think about it... Mizuki IS the main villain of the series. I mean, he isn't such a weird guy, at least. Orochimaru's got the whole tongue thing going on, while Itachi is like nail polish girl dude. Most everyone else has bitten the dust. And died. Or became a good guy. Mizuki's like the only villain who could actually fool someone that he's not a villain, because all the other villains have this "I AM A BAD GUY" aura about them. That makes them poor ninjas. Mizuki works the system.

Oh, ye-eah! You know it. I know it. Mizuki knows it!

What ninja worth their miso can forget the primary lession of stealth? Itachi is all 'Hey, Kisame.... if you kill people in a loud way... it kinda blows our cover....' But how sneaky is disguising yourself with a hat in the first place??? They slithered into town just ooozing 'bad guy' aura. That's how all the smart jounins knew to keep an eye on them, even if they had no idea who it was.

Orochimaru and stealth? Ha! The sneakiest he got was killing people and ripping their faces off so he could dress up as somebody else for a while. And even then, he kept blowing his cover. We all knew something was up with that 'grass guy' and the 'Kazekage'. They just reeked with 'I'ma gunna do somethin baaaad soon'.

Mizuki actually pulled off his roleplaying. I thought he was quite sweet when he was giving Naruto that talk on the rooftop. I'll bet Mizuki's Granny was the pet of the neighborhood all the while she was slowly poisening the kids with her laced cookies. ;-)

Well, I was being sarcastic (like I have been for most of this topic), but I guess I do have a point there. Then again, I should give credit where credit is due. Kabuto pretty much fooled everyone when he acted like a Leaf genin. (On the other hand, you have to wonder why he wore the Sound forehead protector later on, lol) Plus, I'll have to hand it to Orochimaru for fooling everyone (including the Hokage) when he posed as the Kazekage. And, uh... I guess Itachi and Kisame did okay, until they went to have a bite to eat. Maybe they should've dressed as peasants, instead of in Akatsuki robes. Most of the other villains though pretty much say they're bad guys, though.


However, despite all this, I still give Mizuki the Most Devious Ninja Award, since 1) This is his fan club, and 2) He had to keep his friendly chuunin teacher image for who knows how many years before finding the right opportunity to nab the Forbidden Scrolls.
And hey, he fooled Naruto, Iruka, the Hokage, and the peasants.
And based on recent findings, he succeeded! Lol.

That's not a chibi Iruka. That's just a regular old Iruka. It's in the episode where Iruka is teaching his class about the Hokages. One of the kids ask who the fifth Hokage will be, and that sig is Iruka's response.
And you don't need to understand it... there's no point to it! I just thought it'd be funny.

Back on topic... I like my latest Mizuki buttons. I spent a lot of time on them, though I wish the quality came out better. It's hard to piece it all together, since that shot of him flashes by really quickly. It's his best scene though, I think. The best Mizuki moment is when he spins those blades and goes "DIE NARUTO!" and Iruka's all "NARUTO DUCK!" (that part's crazy because Iruka gets all blurry for a second, with some kind of shockwave around his head) and then there's the "WHACK" and Iruka starts telling his life story. Speaking of which, I'm surprised that Mizuki didn't hop down and kill Iruka and Naruto while Iruka was flashbacking. I guess Mizuki was touched by Iruka's sentimental back-story. =P I love the look on Mizuki's face afterwords though. I think I'll go take a picture of it.

Anyways, great news manga readers! This is the closest thing to another appearance by Mizuki that we'll ever get!

The return of the giant blade! Okay, it looks different from Mizuki's awesome blade. Differend design- but it's still kind of cool. And it also shows how Naruto is finally learning that it's better to steal moves from experts, instead of crappy classmates. I think Naruto knows in his heart that Mizuki was the greatest opponent he ever had to face. Giant blades are formidable weapons, but only in the hands of experts. Naruto has much to learn, as we can plainly see.

Which brings up another topic! I mean, we didn't see the fight between Naruto and Mizuki, did we? And it was morning in the next scene with Naruto and Iruka. The battle between Mizuki and Naruto could've lasted eight hours! In fact, I think it had to, since not much else had happened that night. Sigh, and everyone thinks Mizuki was pwned easily, too.

Hmm, you could be on to something, skmt999. Mizuki, Genma, and Hayate all have similar hair. Genma's differentiated with his eyes, since they always look a bit sleepy IMO, while Hayate has the dark rings under his eyes. Mizuki and Hayate both wear their cool hats the same way, while Genma wears his backwards. Hayate has some hair sticking out of his hat, covering his nose a bit. Mizuki always has his hair covering his ears, while it seems Genma's hair goes around his ears. Yeah, they're all pretty similar for the most part though, especially with the matching outfits.

Congrats, ZabuzaKakashi, you're the 20th member! And yeah, that was cool how Mizuki fooled everyone in thinking he was the nice teacher, since he'd be lenient and spend time with Naruto. Now that I think about it... MIZUKI WAS THE FIRST ONE TO ACKNOWLEDGE NARUTO! Ha ha ha.

Anyways, awesome fanart! Very well drawn- much better than I can do. (yes, I've attempted drawing Mizuki... GULP) Anyways, looks like an interesting jutsu you gave him... I'm not sure what it is though. Is his hand spitting out crackling energy, or is his hand replaced with some kind of sharp intricate weapon of some kind? I'm leaning towards the former...

Hey, didja see? In the TV section there's a discussion going on over some short bit in the preveiw for the next episode. It does look suspiciously like Mizuki..... but I'm not going to hold my breath. I mean, how many similar hairstyles are there in the Naruto universe? It seems like every third person has spiky hair, or midlength hair, or whatever.

I'd be neat if it was him. (even though I'd rather it was canon and not filler when he reappears....)

Hmm... now that I think about it, it is probably a million times more likely that Mizuki would appear in filler than to return in the manga. So even though the filler will probably make Mizuki look like a complete buffoon and get pwned by the likes of Tonton, it'll still be the best us Mizuki fans will get! And it will be SWEET. I just hope they don't kill poor Mizuki. (sniffles) Then again, this fan club may get a boost if Mizuki dies a tragic death - dies a martyr.

Anyways, here's the spoiler synopsis for 142 (credit to Pazuzu): Aiming to become a medical ninja, Sakura practises precise chakra control. Meanwhile, recovering from injury, the eager Naruto gets sulky because Jiraiya's been sent off on an urgent mission. While he's away, Jiraiya gives Naruto the special independent training of looking after a scroll.
In the Hokage office, working on a huge pile of documents, Tsunade (plus group) sees data on a Konoha strict correctional facility. It's a facility which houses criminal ninja, where the prisoners are doing digging work...

It seems to go along with the idea that Mizuki was put into a prison... personally I like the idea of Mizuki stealing the forbidden scroll and running away better, but, eh, we'll just have to roll with the punches I guess. Besides, Mizuki will surely escape in the next episode... and wreak UTTER HAVOC. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I can't wait!

Seems that Asuma and Kurenai will be in the episode too, and Tonton, Ino, Shikamaru, and Chouji seem to be getting the spotlight in future episodes. Makes me wonder if the next few filler episodes will all be one storyline or not... Or if they're all going to be a bunch of standalone silly stories. Eh, the more Mizuki the better, so hopefully his plans for revenge, power, and truth will last more than one episode.

I always thought that effect was funny. XD I think they only use it a few more times in the series. I guess we can say Mizuki's the first character to have that mysterious shiny dramatic effect. LOL.

I also absolutely loved this effect used... the transparent close-up thing. LOL!! It's so ridiculously dramatic. I think that effect was only used a few more times as well, but I believe Mizuki was the first for it as well. Though IIRC it was used for Iruka and the Hokage later in the episode... It's a cheesy way to make something into a big deal. XD Heh... that's part of what was so cool about Mizuki though... He has such glorious foreshadowing... and it all culminates into this:

And so, a whole new age of Mizuki's starts, in which the students get their headbands and flak jackets for free, because they obviously suck too much to get them on their own.

All right, just saw the episode, and overall it was pretty fun... A few things I'm a bit concerned about in relation to Mizuki though.

Uh... SPOILERS!


1- First of all, it's a bit disheartening to have the filler folks say Mizuki was put in jail, but hey, we can roll with the punches. =P And it looks like Mizuki gets to roll with the punches.
2- I'm glad the filler writers have Mizuki's devious and cunning nature intact. In one episode, Mizuki has gotten the entire prison's occupancy free and fighting. BWAHAHAHAHA!!! MIZUKI ROCKS!
3- I'm really worried about how Orochimaru's been brought up into this. Seriously... what the crap?! I don't like this idea... Mizuki acts alone, dang it. If he is working with Orochimaru, it better be for his own gain, and that he double-crosses him or something.
4- And what is Tsunade smoking? A chuunin would gain nothing from the forbidden scroll!? What a doofus. Naruto wasn't even a genin when he learned a forbidden technique from the scroll... in just a few hours!
5- And I really have to wonder what Asuma is talking about, when saying Mizuki's personality has completely changed.
6- And what's this tattoo on Mizuki's arm? It looks kind of cool... It better not be some Orochimaruish thing to turn him into a mutant or something. I can really, REALLY do without more of that crap, especially for our hero, Mizuki.
7- We got to learn Mizuki's surname, at least! It's Touji. Touji Mizuki. I'm going to have to find out what Touji means now.
8- I wonder what it is Mizuki tried to sneak into the prison.
9- And take THAT, Kurenai and Asuma! Nice interrogation job! That'll teach you to mess with MIZUKI!! BWAHAHAHAHA! PWNED! Maybe NOW people will start to respect the greatest chuunin of all time!
10- Can't wait to see the next episode, despite the quality. =P This episode was a bit odd, but it was pretty fun. At least for filler! Hopefully Mizuki will get his hands on some giant blades.

I was just reminded in the Kabuto FC (where we've been talking Mizuki, this week....) about the tatoo on Mizuki's arm.
-Is it a Jail inmate identification mark?
-Is it a 'gift' from Orochimaru?
-Is it something similar to what Orochimaru has on his arm that acts in the same way as Jiraiya and Kakashi's summoning scrolls?
-Or did he and his cellmate Bubba get tatts together declaring their everlasting love?

I guess we'll find out next week. ;-)

Anyways, I like the idea that the tatoo is a layout of the prison, that Mizuki made. That seems to work IMO. However, I have a feeling it's some stupid genetic doodley-bopper-bopper relating to Orochimaru's quasi-hob-bobbery. I'll forgive Orochimaru though if it is used to summon giant blades. XP

Well, I guess we'll see what's up with Mizuki next episode. If the anime folks REALLY screw Mizuki up a ton, I'll be sure to disown the filler-version of Mizuki. =] Because, hey, this FC was founded on Mizuki's only appearance in the first episode/chapter, yeah? Hopefully the filler will put forth an effort to keep Mizuki devious and charismatic like he was - though I'm sure he would change if he was in a ninja prison for a year. Then again, Mizuki has probably used his time there wisely to formulate a ton of plans.

That's part of what's so sweet about Mizuki. He's no buffoon. Yes, he was beaten up by a few hundred Narutos, but hey, the chances of that happening were 1 in a million, yeah? That's akin to finding out the world is round, or something.

Right now I like the idea that it's a map layout of the prison. However, it's probably more likely that it's some mysterious evil power of some sort. Which will be out of place from the first episode. XP I guess we'll find out soon enough...

Edit: However, Mizuki slipped a screwdriver to it... Did he somehow use the screwdriver to do something to it? Does that imply that the tatoo is some kind of chakra-restraining seal? But what would a screwdriver do to it?

I don't think the screwdriver and the tattoo had anything to do with each other. I'm thinking it was just safer to slip it in the sleeve furthest from the guard. It would be kind of strage for the tatt to turn out to be the Narutoverse version of a pocket of holding or something. Naw, he used the screwdriver to pick the lock on his door. Then he just needed his chuunin level nin skills to steal food and slip back into his cell before he was missed. Shut the door again, and nobody's the wiser. There's our sneaky Mizuki. ;-)

Mizuki hasn't been added to the board. If you hit "Post Reply" there's an area off to the right with a few smilies - under that is a link for more. But like I said, Mizuki isn't there, so there isn't a code for him. We have it saved on our image hosts and post him from there. ;-)

i'm not part of this Fc but i thought just incase you didn't know (you as in members of this fc), i was watching the latest episode of naruto and recognised mizuki's voice. he's played by the same person who does urahara kisuke's voice in bleach. interesting fact. and kinda kewl. he has a good voice. kinda mad hatter of japan-ish^^

Eh, not sure I like how they've made Mizuki for this filler. Like Iruka said, Mizuki's different from how he was before. They're taking the insane villain approach with him. Not that I blame them, but I would've preferred the calm, collected Mizuki we had in the first episode. He's just having a dumb attitude now.

And that Tsubaki person was lame. XP Did the filler team really have to make Mizuki a girlfriend-beater? I always saw Mizuki as more of a gentleman.

Oh well, guess I shouldn't complain too much. =_= I mean, we did get a Mizuki comeback, after all.

I guess he wanted to wait to see if he was right or not. XP These filler writers really need some help. It's kind of dumb that Iruka was sent in the first place (I mean, jounins like Kurenai, Asuma, and Shizune were all defeated... so let's send a chuunin teacher to investigate!). Then again, the Filler Power Equation states that the levels of ability from lowest to highest goes jounin - chuunin - genin. XP Oh well, it's nice to see Iruka doing something for once.

Well, Mizuki was being the nice guy for his own purposes. It's not like he was being friendly to Naruto for the sake of being friendly. Mizuki's not really a Jekyll/Hyde (or Gollem/Smeagol) type of character. Though I suppose he's become more akin to that in this filler.

That has to be one of the most obvious statements. Kyuubi is like the Konoha version of Cancer. Everyone knows someone close who's died of cancer. It affects each person differently. Mizuki obviously went off the deep end into obsessive hatred. As Kyuubi's Container, Naruto got the main focus of the phobic obsession.

He probably does have a nice side, but in order to get rid of the MostestFoulest Thing in teh Entire World, he has to let the obsession take over so he can do icky things. Things he might not be proud of - if he bothered thinking about it. He's not psycho, he's just trying to do the world a service, and his morals became corrupt along the path. You can only follow the path of 'ends justify the means' so long before the 'ends' gets kind of fuzzy or expanded a bit, and the 'means' get worse and worse.

The whole wife-beater thing.... that's kind of unnessary. I suppose it's there to show us how much Mizuki has changed or fallen from the days of Academy Teacher.
(And maybe the bitch had it coming?)

I still haven't seen it, so I'm going to hold my opinions until then. I don't have high hopes though. (:omg Buff!?)

My full opinion on the 'wife beater' thing? He was doing pretty good for a psycho filler villian, untill she pushed THE button. His obsessive obsession/phobia about Kyuubi/Naruto. (since he can't seperate them in his mind.)

Well, I watched Episode 144 and got some more Mizuki goodness. So... SPOILERS.



I'm really curious where things are going with the flashbacks, as simple as they are. It's a tad depressing, actually, though they haven't gotten far with it yet... Apparently little Mizuki felt bad nobody seemed to look his way while Iruka was comforted by everyone following his parents' deaths. Makes me wonder if Mizuki lost his parents to Kyubbi just like Iruka did. Seems a bit too obvious at the moment - maybe there will be more to it than that.
8-year-old Mizuki is pretty cool design-wise too by the way... He's got a cool hat! I'll try getting some pics soon.
(And PLEASE save the yaoi comments for another topic. >=[ Can't two 8-year-old bros just show some brotherly love anymore? Iruka was freaking just mourning over his parents' deaths, and Mizuki was nice enough to support him.)
Which reminds me, wonder what exactly makes Mizuki think that he has to say he was just deceiving Iruka like that. I'm sure that isn't the case. Mizuki decided to turn to Orochimaru for whatever reason at some point later on while teaching at Konoha. There'll probably be a reason like he wanted power to make sure anything like Kyubbi doesn't destroy Konoha, or something, and he's gone insane by this point, obsessed with some mission he thinks is right, etc etc. Or something a lot simpler than that, lol.

Action-wise, I have to wonder about Mizuki's abilities. He seems to travel underground with ease (like Kakashi could, or that filler Fuuma mole/butterfly), as well as be able to stretch his arm out with ease(like Chouji could). Also, Mizuki's set up some cool traps in a bamboo forest where the fight takes place (which is a VERY much-appreciated change of scenery...) So, guess Mizuki's deviousness isn't totally out the window... though he becomes stupid and blatant at the drop of a hat (or however the phrase goes). You know... like all filler villains. I was pretty annoyed to hear Mizuki say he was going to play around to torture Iruka. Well, guess we'll have to get more info on why Mizuki feels the need to make sure Iruka's death is slow and painful. The idea of understanding Mizuki's point of view will hopefully be delved into a bit more - it hasn't been too bad so far...

Not saying that the episode was overall that great (could've been done way, way better) - there's still a bunch of stupid stuff of course, but it's not too bad Mizuki-wise, despite the, eh, lifeless dialogue. It's great to see more into Mizuki though. He's gotten really unstable at this point, but I guess we'll have to wait to see how things turn out.

He better not die. >=[

I mean, of course Mizuki won't die. The stupid brothers will take care of Naruto and Shikamaru's team, and Mizuki will pwn Iruka... but not kill him. Iruka's cool too. Maybe they'll become friends again! That'd be surprising of the anime team, so I'm rather sure it won't happen. Mizuki will probably die some dumb way when he unleashes "Orochimaru's Boom Boom BOOM Jutsu" where a bunch of trees fall on him instead of crushing Iruka. >=[

Well, if one of the strongest nins in the town approached me with a shopping list, and said 'get these for me' - would you think something bad was up? Oro wouldn't have even had to get creepy to get anyone to do his wishes back then. He wasn't supposed to be a badguy yet, so few would question him. I'm sure there was more to it, but think.

Kids want attention, they want to be told they're doing well. And nin kids want to get an edge up on their peers. If asked to nin kid to do 'dangerous' errands for somebody - in secret, because that'll train you faster, then duh the kid would do it. Oro probably had half a dozen handpicked kids running errands of various sorts for him. Whole teams even (see team Kabu).

Anyway, my brain is kind of fried, so that's as far as I'm going to postulate right now.
(don't go for a five mile walk in 106°+ weather.)
