Linkin Park are not appreciated by most in these parts, I'm afraid. :-(

They all sound the same so they're equally bad.

Reanimation, there were some actually somewhat decent tracks on there.

guys, refrain from flaming or otherwise ill thoughts on what is merely a question. Not only does it make us, the Music Department look like a bunch of tarts, but as your representative it fucking pisses me off. I havent had to infract of warn anyone yet, and i'd hate it to be someone i talk to regularly. Get me?

I don't know who that was referring to, but I was just stating my opinion. My post was reasonable, especially if you consider that it's an option in the poll. There seems to be a big issue with people who dislike bands going out of their way to get into conflicts with people who like them, and much of it seems to be from the same few members.

you answered the question with your opinion. I respect that, therefore that wasn't aimed at you.

It was a pre-emptive strike, plus:

Um... what the fuck is wrong with this thread again? Why did Sir Slick neg me without leaving anything other than "no"?

is not what i like to hear when someone asks a question

I like Minutes To Midnight more than the others because it has more songs where Chester sings, don't get me wrong its okay when Mike raps but it is not my style rap

^Very true. I liked Mike a lot better in Fort Minor. I also felt that he fit in Reanimation a lot better because it was more focused on hip-hop and electronic elements than the nu-metal.

I don't listen to LP as much as I used to, but my favorite album would have to be Meteora.

I grew out of the band it self in the 7th grade. That's not saying a lot, because I grew out of a number of bands both good and bad but there were just things I didn't want to still be listening to when I went to high school.

That said I don't think Linkin Park is a bad band per say- but it's a band where I would frown upon anyone over 16 listening to.

I am saying Hybrid Theory. I do not like M2M they tried too hard on that one. (2 good tracks on that I like) It looks like LP has lost a lot of respect from people.

To be honest, I don't like this band at all. The lead singer's voice gets on my nerves.

Meteora is my favorite due to how everything flowed. The only song on that album that didn't really fit was Nobody's Listening but it was still decent to me.

They're a Nu-Metal band, not rock.

Uh...none. LP is one of the most overrated bands in history.

I got to admit but before I started paying attention to the "emo-ness" they had created, they were still a solid band with their first few albums. I still like the songs "Somewhere I Belong" and "In the End".

same Hybrid Theory was a great album i still listen to it from time to time.
from then i grew tired of them, the only thing i like since then it's "bleed it out", i think i like it because chester sings less than usual (i don't really like him):P

Reanimation.

Everything else is shit. Minutes to Midnight was just a "Fuck you" to their fans. The rage after it was released was funny.

I don't even remember voting on this thread, but apparently I did...

If I could change my vote, I would go for Hybrid Theory. I was enamoured with it back when I was like 12 or 13.

CUZ I'M ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EDGE, AND I'MMA 'BOUT TO BREAK.

Good times. Back when I was much less juvenile :(

I find that LP is basically everyone's 6th/7th grade band. Everyone I've talked to says they loved LP in 6th grade, regardless of the year. I'm pretty sure that's because they really do appeal to all the growing kids going through bad step parents, divorces, etc. After that phase people seem to grow into the music they really enjoy as a personal taste.

I choose Meteora, and I still find their music decent. Their latest stuff is not nearly as good, but I am not so picky that I would bother changing the radio if it was on.

It seems to me like the vast majority of people (well, maybe not on the internet) just listens to whatever that is on the radio.
