But which bloodline ability is your favorite? Choose one from the poll.

My favorite Kekkei Genkai is easily Mokuton creation. Wood jutsu, ftw. :thumbs

I came in here expecting to vote Sharingan, but it turns out I'd completely forgotten about Mokuton. :P

Based on the way Yamato uses it, it's incredibly versatile and interesting. He's used it to build a house, make a key, surf through the air, create bunshin, track someone over a distance, create a strong defence, make the KWGoD, launch a huge attack, bind his opponent, solidify his body to stop himself being stabbed through the heart... and all that without even really fighting.

I picked Byakugan. Sharingan is awesome (well, mostly all bloodlimits are) but the down side of using the Sharingan too much is a killer for me. Though I like Mokuton Creation, which seems very useful (and I like nature =P), I like the Hyuga bloodlimit the best.

My husband and I both love the Byakugan, and both of us are fans of the character who uses them (Me=Hinata, Husband=Neji), the 360 vision and the fact they can see oh so well is very appealing (I'm studying to be an artist, I can't help but love the eyes). And the the taijustsu style you can use (jyuken, gentle fist) with the Byakugan just increases my love for that bloodline limit.

I tend to love watching any fights with any Hyuga in it, like the Neji and Hinata fight, the Neji and Naruto Fight, and the best Hyuga fight so far, Neji and Kidomaru. To me it's just fun to watch.

Nope. The Nara clan's shadow jutsus are classified as Hijutsus (Hidden Jutsus; Jutsus that are only found within one clan, for one reason or another, but aren't actually Kekkei Genkais), so they Kekkei Genkais.

Anyways, got to go with Haku's Hyouton jutsus. Mokuton and the Kaguya clan's Kekkai Genkai are very close runner ups though. :nod

The 3rd Kazekage's Iron Sand because it's like Gaara's ie stand around and own everyone but it more deadly as it has cutting and stabbing as well as blunt force.
The 1st Hokage's Wood element it just looks cool.
Haku's Ice element because it was unescapable and could probably have become moreso had Haku lived and trained more.
Kimimaro was cool though a bit gruesome.
Sharingan is better than Byakyuugen only because it looks cooler and that's only because of the freaky eye veins. I like the Hyuuga bloodline better though.

Following is an explanation to my choice in this matter and it is in no way meant as a personal insult towards you. Yes, I'm talking about you, sir, who will get offended by some of the things I have written below. So if you don't agree with me, please don't raise a freaking pandemonium, but instead either swallow it or, even better, come up with some valid points to support your point of view, I'm always up for a good debate! :thumbs

Well, most of the special blood line abilities seem pretty un-imaginative: more or less just flashes, explosions or things sprouting out of the ground (I mean, really, a ring of ice mirrors appearing out of no-where or huge-ass trees growing in a matter of seconds all over the place). Moreover, the way many of them are designed greatly limit their useability, by either requiring a certain element in the vicinity in order to even use the technique, or by making a single use of the technique incredibly time-consuming and fixing the user to a certain location after starting with the ability, or both. Not to mention most of them are just lame as hell.

There are only two really imaginative and flexible ones in my opinion: the bone-morphogetic ability and the Sharingan/Byakugan eye-abilities. Unfortunately they introduced some pretty stupid elements into the bone-ability in the anime series (a forest of bone spikes growing out of the ground, anyone?) pretty much ruining it and moving it to the same category with the rest of the visually-and-auditively-impressive-but-in-the-end-of-the-day-not-so-useful techniques.

So that leaves me with the eye-abilities. And out of those two I would choose byakugan. Why? What the sharingan is good for is mostly tricks with the eye (and I don't mean the eye of the user!), illusions and the sorts. Also, the way how one must first discover the ability in oneself to use it, and later must develop it to higher levels does not feel so appealing to me. Byakugan, on the other hand, has some nice features that allow for vastly different styles of combat to be developed, such that the opponent must consider if they wish to survive the fight (again, opposed to sharingan that, up to this point, has only seemed to offer slightly improved genjutsu to its users). All of the aforementioned and, of course, because byakugan is absolutely the sexiest thing the the whole series... world... EVER!

I'd choose the Shikotsumyaku due the diversity of uses and overall badassness. It excels in defense and offense. Sharingan cannot copy it, and a skilled shikotsumyaku user could probably move so fast that the Sharingan could not keep track and and once again in skilled hands, can easily avoid genjutsu traps. against Hyoton and Mokuton, that's simple to pierce through. against souma no kou, it'll be tricky but with speed a shikotusmyaku user could attack before the enemy attaches onto them and easily rip them apart then. against byakugan would be even trickier. but with enough speed and articulation one could overcome the byakugan. in closing, my favorite and my choice is Shikotsumyaku

Honestly for me my favorite kekkai genkai is Mokuton. Though an extremely close second is Shikotsumyaku (Kaguya clan). I absolutely hate the sharingan since people who have it depend on it so much and it is too over powered in my opinion. Other kekkai genkai's still require hard work to be deadly with them. While the Sharingan once you get it to 3 commas. Bam you can copy anything you want. It seems so unfair and is such a huge shortcut. Though i have to admit Tsukyaomi is a kick ass Genjutsu.

Mokuton forever. Sharingan was never really a favorite of mine, although I do like the Byuakugan. I just like the way they say it to activate the damn thing lol. Kimimaro had a cool one as well.

My vote has to go to another Kekkai Genkai, which is:

Water Manipulation, which is the ability to to manipulate water in an given form, at any moment the user wishes. To create waves, barriers, anything that has to do with water. Yet, for the user that uses this ability, can form water out of thin air, he can generate it anywhere, anytime.

Obviously, this Kekkai Genkai is used by the most popular water user, Nidaime.

That is my favorite Kekkai Genkai.
