Actually, the first budokai was the best of them all. At least for that time, it had great graphics and the best story mode in any db game, the worst thing was the loadings. It was thanks to its enormous success that we have a bunch of db games now.

You can say that again. When I bought Tenkaichi I thought it would be great. Turns out it just sucked with basically limited combos, same fucking basic ki attacks, and no in-base transformations.

i think the best dbz game ever will be budokai tenkaichi 3 for wii. i'm certain it won't be my favorite game in general since i've played the same story over and over like 50 times but if it was the first dbz game i ever played it would have been the best game i ever played

It's out in japan since 4 days ago and i had preordered it so i have had it for 3 days for ps2.

IT'S SO SO MUCH BETTER THAN BT2.... you won't believe it. I played bt2 for a while 2-3 days before getting it and i'm telling ya they're not even comparable.

They do , there's the shin budokai games for psp , the sparking games (BT in USA) are not from the same company as the budokai games.

In my opinion no DBZ game to date has matched that. Budokai 3 was good on the PS2, but it got old kinda quick. Probably because I don't get to play any skilled human opponents. :(

If they continued it or remade it .. it would be cool. :huh

The best for me is Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

It's a fun fighter and really immerses me into a DB/DBZ///GT experience.
Just little things like outfits the character wear during fights is great to me.

I'm still getting use to the tweaked controls myself, but still having fun with it.
And I actually like the story mode, it feels like I'm really in these fights in the story. As much of a DB fan I am, I honestly couldn't fight the same character over and over like I did in BT2 just to lose in a cutscene. heh

I think DBZ games got a bit old.. i think they need to start up the anime again and then we got some good stuff they can make into games.
