Okay pretty self-explanatory. What else do you think have been in the show? Do you think certain characters or sub-plots should have been explored more in depth? Do you think new ideas should have been added all together? Well post them here.
Me, I was kinda hoping for a Rossiu redemption moment. I liked Rossui pre-timeskip. He wasn't like the other Ganmen pilots who were all trying to live up to Kamina's GAR. He also had a noble goal of creating a world were the few are not sacrificed to save the many. So when the timeskip came around I was a bit unnerved with how Rossui had pretty much become a younger version of his village elder. But I thought to myself "This is just Gainax making him unlikable as possible so when he redeems himself it will be even more epic and GAR". So I waited. And waited. And waited. But the instead of getting the redemption I desired I get Rossui putting a gun to his head. WTF!?! Lord Genome, the main villian for the first half of the show, can be redeemed, but Rossiu can't?
Okay I'm done ranting for now.

The First Spiral War, with Lord Genome's past. And the "alternate universe" from the Prologue of the series. Also, the events that happened to Simon and Yoko during the twenty years timeskip.

I would have hated a Rossiu direct/ obvious redemption moment. I think it was more realistic the way it went. Besides, Rossiu was in fact redeemed in a sense, albeit not as blantantly or totally as others.
The only thing I would have wanted to see more of is stuff that happenned in between the 20 year timeskip for Simon, Yoko, and the other worlds; an episode of Kamina and father story told in full; and a prologue going into the Helix King regime on earth being established.

That is the only thing that was missing for me, I really hate when they leave things to the audience imagination. Yoko and Simon shared the same path in life and it is safe to assume they both stay alone, but I would like it confirmed. Yoko was able to stay alone for 7 years, It seemed that Yoko understood how Simon felt when he was leaving thus why she threw him the ring.

hahaha. As bad as that sounds ~saying audience imagination is bad~ I actually agree with it.
I mean it's a story. It's supposed to be told. Who cares if some people don't like what happens? The big holes should be filled in.
I guess they do it this way so that people clamor for a sequel.
Well, more on topic. The 2 things I wish they added:
1. Given Yoko a kickass spiral power scene so that she could have a shining moment.
2. Shown the connection with the infamous episode 1 GARlock scene.

There's only one Lagann, and it belongs to Simon, there's what I believe. :gar

My only regret is that Gainax wasted a character as good as Yoko. She really shouldn't have been just thrown off after Kamina's death.

Fleshing out the timeskip would have been pretty cool. I mean, to see how they advanced that quickly in seven years would be awesome.

Other than the fact that your picture is blurry you can CLEARLY see GARlock's cloak and its the same shot from the first episode when he is walking forwards and the camera is behind him.
For god sake it is even confirmed that he was an alternate universe.

Perhaps a bit more focus on some characters.
Just a few more episodes - more Kamina arc would have been nice.
Apart from that, I can't think of anything major it lacked.

Yeah, Kamina arc was too short. Just 8 eps!!!!! They should've atleast let it went up to 13! But i guess they needed time to introduce Nia and the second set of villians and character development for Simon.

Yoko should have had more of a use after Kamina died and Genome's defeat. Her role in the last episodes was ok though.
Nothing .. don't fucking ruin the great piece of art it has become. I would leave it intact.
If they do a season 2, I hope it doesn't relate to the first, in case they ruin it.

If they do a season 2, I hope it doesn't relate to the first, in case they ruin it.
They can never ruin what we have seen. If a second season is made and it sucks, just keep this first one. If it rocks then keep both.
It's like Pirates of the Caribbean - first one was genius, second one sucked. Therefore, we bought the first and not the second.
By itself, TTGL will always be a masterpiece.
