Viral was obviously too gar to get his own spiral Mecha as he would have killed everyone in the universe.

Because he would have beat everyone. Why the writer had to pnj and say that beastmen couldnt reproduce.

Viral had a few good moments in the time-skip but it would have been great if he had been able to do more.

You know what my favorite thing about Viral was?

His character development, of which there was plenty, was so discreet and underlining compared to...well every other character in the show.

I mean, every time a character's outlook changed or they had an evolution in attitude they would give a big GAR manly speech, maybe get punched in the face and then they would declare themselves renewed.

Viral's growth was all contextual. Evidenced by his early warrior nature being overtaken by curiosity to find out what he truly was (An artificially created lifeform) to reluctantly fighting for a cause that he didn't know if he believed in to finding a new cause altogether (Saving the people who wished to remain underground) to finding something that he could finally passionately fight for (saving the earth).

But what really hit me the hardest was his dream sequence in the Anti-spiral pocket universe when he had a daughter and wife....both things that he wanted, but knew he could never obtain because he lacked the spiral DNA. I think that scene is the single moment in Gurren lagann that made me feel like crying.

He never moped, he never faltered. He only did what needed to be done. He was the only one who had enough fighting spirit to truly fight along simon as an equal.

Does anyone think Viral's VA was underappericated? It went really well with his character. It's my favorite one.

Viral is the reason beastmen don't have spiral power because if they did the show would have ended back with episode 3.
