[Poetical Praise] Jetstorm's tribute to Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann

[Jetstorm]

Someone asked me in the Blender to do a poem for Gurren-Lagann since I was doing Naruto ones. At first I didn't know if I would be able to write something that would satisfy myself and others but I figured it wa s worth a shot.

I hope others can enjoy this. :amuse

For this awesome show I have a few words.
The quality it has is simply superb.
A man who pierces the heavens with only his drill.
He's a persistent bastard that is hard to kill.

Before he always needed Lord Kamina to watch his back.
In a matter of time there would be nothing he lacked.
Simon always found a way to achieve victory.
You can't ask his enemies because they are all history.

Some of the shit we've seen truly boggles the noggin.
I mean who didn't freak when Genome was bare fisting Lagann?
Genome's body must have been like a house made of brick.
The way Simon blew a hole in his chest was absolutely sick.

We remember the Anti-spirals who were like gods of the universe.
If they were smart they would have tried to kill Simon first.
They should never have fucked with the Dai Gurren-Dan.
Especially since their power evolved faster then bug pokemon.

We definitely can't forget all of the members that fell.
They now reside in Garhalla where pain can not dwell.
Their bodies are gone but souls not devoured.
We will always remember how they kept fighting the power.

When the battle stopped some thought they knew how it would end.
But sure enough Gainax got us again.
I know there were a few that were too angry to respond.
At least it concluded better then Evangelion.

Sadly, this brings an end to a healthy obsession.
But with that comes an important lesson.
Never give up and reach for the stars.
Always show the world just who the hell you are!

Simon, Kamina, Yoko, and even Nia going through the world
Their epic adventures with the Gurren Brigade make my head swirl

Bringing the world back each day with a drill
Kamina helped Simon to develop his skill
Aniki and Simon working hard as ever, always working uphill
It's time for the Beastmen to be killed!

Aniki fell to the strengths from above and exploded to an epic end
Simon looked down and started to bend
His courage lost and his best friend dead
With this, he stepped up and transcended!

The Generals couldn't stop him
Viral, even how cool he is, didn't have a whim
It all came down to one fight that would end it on one limb
Simon and Rossiu against the Spiral King looked grim

With Nia at his side and the heart of his Aniki inside
The digger fought with every inch of his pride
The Spiral King fell and it ended like that
Nia was saved, Simon was a hero, and for seven years there was no combat.

I don't play Devil May Cry so I wouldn't be able to make a good poem. I only know that Dante is half devil or something and Vergil is his brother.

GAR is the pinnacle of manliness. Kamina, Simon, Lordgenome, and Kittan are all very GARish men. Other examples are Zaraki Kenpachi from bleach, Gutts from berserk, and, if females could be GAR, Teresa from claymore and Motoko Kusanagi from G.I.T.S.
