I say Kamina for sure, he literally redefined GAR. Simon comes pretty close though... Kittan is really just a cheap imitation of their GAR (but I still love him :D)

Kamina defined GAR for us pretty much... Kittan met his level however his was a rising to Kamina's name whereas Kamina lived it.

Same with Simon.

Though if Cocky, arrogant, batshitinsane, episode 1 GARlock happens he'll win.

Simon..he is the one who lost everything to gain everything.
And then he chose the way of Kenshin in Rurouni Kenshin and Paul in Dune Messiah.

Can't get any more GAR then that.

I have to go with Kamina, Simon is Gar but Kamina is leaps away from him.
Simon is just too sensitive and nice, don't get me wrong simon is great but he doesn't inspire the same admiration as Kamina. Gar is just how much you want to be like someone. Kamina never would have done what Simon did at the end of the series and neither would I!

GAR relates to going gay for the awesome manliness of someone. Therefore by definition I think Kamina is the answer to this question. The girls fawn over him non stop and the guys struggle to hide their feelings the whole series
