Method to contain 27 spoilers

Quite a few people, incuding myself, aren't going to watch episode 27 until the hardsub comes out.

Back when GL was just in one thread, it was impossible to view the thread without reading spoilers or viewing spoiler images in peoples avatars and signatures as soon as the RAW came out.

I for one absolutely do not want to see any spoilers regarding episode 27 until the [BSS-Anon] hardsub comes out. I even considered staying off of 4chan and Naruto Forums completely (due to avatars and sigs) so as to not be spoiled by anything.

Now that we have a subforum for GL, it might be easier to contain spoilers. Like making a thread exclusive for discussing episode 27, where no spoilers leave the thread until the [BSS-Anon] hardsub comes out. [B]This INCLUDES avatars and signatures. This is similar to how the Konoha Telegramsa section works for the latest naruto manga chapter releases.

Could we consider doing this please? It would be very courteous. Thank you.

The main thing I'm worried about is seeing spoiler pics in avatars and signatures. This includes ANY picture from episode 27. I'd definately stay out of threads marked with spoilers, but avatars and signatures are definately a problem.

I'll probably just do that. Even if rules about avatars and signatures where to be enforced, the risk of seeing spoilers is just too great.

Heres what I do. For the last few episodes, I've managed to restrain myself and wait for the subbed version :nod. If you're that worried about sigs and avatars, you can manually turn them off by going to User Cp. Then, just wait for a while and check the download thread. Nonetheless, I really like this idea. It'll make it a lot easier to avoid being spoiled on the greatest thing ever :nod

In all seriousness, i'm all for two spoiler and non-spoiler discussions of the Finale. Also, being able to come onto Narutofan, clicking on one thread and finding ALL the links to Episode 27 would be a godsend, so lets make that thread as well.

Sigs and Avys, well, i'll restrain myself, but as soon as the .ass is out, i'll be using some screenshots. I'll deliberately try to avoid major spoilers though, i'll just be using cool pictures.

In all seriousness, why don't people just avoid the forums for that amount of time? If spoilers are that serious to people. I personally can't stand being spoiled at all. I stop myself from watching the previews at the end of each episode. I'm just going to avoid the forums altogether until the episode comes out subbed.

the major difficulty will be the people posting on the "normal" thread and who ain't read this thread. can it be possible to close the thread and open it again after the raw or subbed version will be released to avoid unpleasant surpises? if someone wnter the super spoiler thread it is on its own risk :ninja

If you don't know Japanese, watching raws are like watching "half episodes"; you don't get the whole experience. For the epicness of 27, I for one want to go all out to enjoy this final episode and not waste the surprise on something I half understand.

If you don't know Japanese, watching raws are like watching "half episodes"; you don't get the whole experience. For the epicness of 27, I for one want to go all out to enjoy this final episode and not waste the surprise on something I half understand.

Are you trying to tell me that you're trying to watch the raw episodes for the dialogue and to understand what's going on? You have that as a priority over the GAR action fightscenes that's right infront of you? Even those just give you more than enough to understand what's going on.

And this is the final episode, I expect less talking, and more fighting. This series has to go out with a bang, after all. All you will probably miss or not is an epic and memorable speech from someone, and then that's it. Even if you miss that out I'm sure that person will be doing something so manly that you'll understand and not care if that person said something or not.

Honestly, watching Raw's has made me learn that I actually have learned enough Japanese just by watching subs to get the general gist of what's being said anyway. Given, of course, that anything said in complex dialog is nonsensical to me but it's not like it will spoil me if I don't know what they're saying in the first place.

As I said, Watching the raw then watching the subs just means I get twice the reasons the watch the episode.

I was merely wondering where are the people that usually looks at the screenshots and watching the raws. I was just looking for them.



I know watching it for the action isn't an excuse. It's the REASON for watching. We watch the raw for the action, I'd say. We do it while trying to pick up the story, too. If we get some of it, good. If we get most of it, great. If we get all of it, then freaking superlative. We get a BRILLIANT experience eitherway. When we watch the subs after it's awesome too, for the former two cases. Not once did I feel bummed after watching the raw. And as far as I know none of the other Brigade members, either.

Anyway, I'm not discussing this anymore. I hate having to disagree with someone that has the same likes as I do. Do as you please, I wasn't even trying to force you to watch in the first place.

Actually, people that don't want to be spoiled should not visit the external TTGL thread and just discuss around here. I like to discuss thing over there and will still go over there. You can come here and discuss anything you want in here. That is just what I plan to do! The spoiler party with images from 2chan should be done here instead than in the blender though. this thread is just for a month and I want important info and comments to stay in the permanent thread.

whats the point in only getting half of the info in there? Surely it doesn't cost you much to wait an extra day and then understand the whole thing in one go.

thank goodness I don't have signature or avatars, I never felt the need for being the first to have a nice signature or avatar. I can understand how some people got annoyed because people made signatures and avatar that ACTUALLy did spoil things just for the sake of being the first.

Entitle it: "G-L Episode 26 screencap thread (BIG SPOILERS)" or something similar.

However, it's not fair to completely get rid of any spoilerish material when it can be easily hidden.

Good tip for screenshot thread though - Please can posters turn off their sigs whenever they post in it. Easier to read then.

That is what I'm trying to understand. I love TTGL as much as the next man in here, even more, but I'm not going to sit here and the FINAL EPISODE OF TTGL in a language I don't understand.
