Seriously a guy who warps reality to come back from the dead and save his comrades basically says that Kamina is the most powerful spiral in the TTGLverse.

And yeah I think GARwise and Spiral power-wise Kamina is the strongest in TTGL, everytime he was talking about manliness gurren and lagann got spiral power boosts but I think Simon or Viral are better Gunmen pilots now. Since his death both had a lot more fights and improved very much.

I think someone posted an excerpt from a Gainax interview at a con recently that said if Kamina had been alive up till now,the Anti-Spirals would have been destroyed with a snap of a finger. He would have been that powerful. Simon is/was bascially equal with the Anti Spirals in power.

Kamina said it himself: Simon was the only reason he succeeded. I love Kamina, but stop trying to misrepresent his role in the show please; he was a purely inspirational character and Simon has always been the powerhouse.

And Kamina rescuing everyone? Maybe. He rescued Simon, who in turn rescued everyone else (sans Yoko).

Honestly if Kamina had survived I think the furthest humanity would have made it was to the center of the moon because Simon would have never met Nia and therefor she wouldn't have let him activate the Chouginga Dai Gurren.

That is, IF they even got there considering Nia saved them from Adine... Then again Gurren Lagann could have beaten her back most likely.

In terms of piloting skills I think both Simon and Viral have surpassed him, as demonstrated by their fight during the antispiral moon ark. As for spiral power it's been made clear by genome that Simon is one of the most (if not the most) powerful spiral beings to ever exist.
