Well here it is then, the finale of what appears in most peoples opinion to be the anime series of 2007.

This thread is for all speculation of what is to come in ep 27, will we have a happy ending, a sad ending or maybe even the fabled lol gainax?

I don't think you can predict what will ever happen considering there's pretty much been a Deus Ex in every episode. There's no telling what completely out there idea will save the day next.

as much as it pains me, I predict that Simon will defeat the antispirals and save Nia and return to earth and live ever happily. Yoko will return to the island and resume work as a teacher. There will be no more deaths with the exeption of Viral who will die sacrificing himself to save Simon at the last minute.

Simon beats Anti-Spirals, goes back to Earth with Nia and others, they live a happy life for like ten years, all that shown on the ending time to the happily ever after or some other epic track. Then, on the preview time, they show the opening scene of episode 1 with no more shading and the such, with them closing the Great Dimensional Rift between the 10th and 11th dimension.

in the preview we can see the GARren-Lagann rising from the center of the galaxy, so we will see the doom of the universe and everything will end, with the happy couples running in the heavens fields.... :plot
