Anyone seen anything of it? It's one of the most intriguing things I've seen and I'm only on episode 2. It's pretty sinister as well, and psychedelic.
I recommend it judging by what I've seen.
I'm surprised the only other thread about this wasn't frequented since 2005 :huh
I saw it earlier this year. Really one of my favourite series. From nf sets to wallpapers, I used quite a lot of lain art for myself.
Heck I collected most better lain art there is.

Yeah I love disturbing series like Lain. If you enjoy the whole thing I'd suggest giving Boogiepop Phantom a try as well. It's not really anything like it but it just gives you the same creepy vibes and has the same overall feel to it.

i like the background music and effects
and the sounds of the power lines
but i dont like the shadows they freak me out
A very memorable, albeit very weird series.
Lain owns.

A friend of mine gave me the DVD's a couple years ago, I still haven't put aside time to watch past the third episode. I really like the art.

Yeah Lain is a great anime. Too bad it doesn't get the attention it deserves.

I think it's mainly due to it's age. 1998 wasn't a time when Anime was big in europe or the US.
And it's not a mainstream series either.

Lain looks like the girl from Texnolyze, or some Range Murata H-art.
I had this series downloaded for quite some time now, but never watched it.
*goes off to watch it.*

That might be becuse it's the same artist that did Texhnolyze that also did Lain. :) (Yoshitoshi ABe)
If you are talking about Ran I dont think see looks "that" much like Lain but yes I can se some similarities. I think that Oniishi's secretary really looks like a grown up Lain though. :P

I liked the presentation but I barely understood what the hell was going on.
I'll probably re-watch it one of these days to pick up on everything I missed.
