bruce would kill chan quick then jet would give him a decent 30 second fight.

bruce still kills him in flurry of full strength punches to the stomach.

Jet dies spitting blood.

I am fan of all three, but bruce is the best realitsic fighter of the three.

Oh and this thread has been doen on the net over 10 or 20 times.

Bruce Lee wins. Jet and Bruce knock out the most obnoxious of the three before they have a nice bout.

Bruce Lee is over-rated, Jackie Chan isn't in either's league and Jet is a better martial artist.

Li takes this.

OK, lets compared jet li's fearless to that movie where Bruce lee killed prime chuck norris. Prime chukc noriss easily defeated>>>>>>>> jet li defeating someone with "cat claws".

Bruce Lee has to slow down fighting on camera because his actual speed is too fast for it to track.:amuse

I bet you also did not know Bruce Lee is not dead. He simply chose not to live in the mortal plane anymore :)

Having to slow yourself down to appear on camera isn't that big of a deal guys. Especially for 1970's cameras I hope some of you realize this.

The framerate was horrible, so pretty much any martial artist of decent speed would need to slow down their movements.

Three super martial artists (maybe just two cause jackie doesn't count though he does his own stunts). It would be more accurate to call them three super movie stars that happen to know martial arts.

I guess we should find some youtube clips of Godzilla and work from there unless you want to upload them.

We should probably move this convo somerhere else.

I think you should do some research before making bad statements. Jackie chan was supposed to be the next Bruce Lee and has mastered more fighting styles as well. Only thing was that at the time Jackie started making movie there were already allot of asians trying to be like bruce lee so Jackie decided to add humor to his style so that he would be his own person.

Speed would go to Bruce, Exp and rang of fighting styles would go to Jackie and Jet lee would be the underdog.

Here we go again...

I do agree that Lee is very overrated, however...Jet Li is not a fighter. Not even close to one. His style is Wushu, and he became a champion that specialised in forms, demonstrations of grace and technique. He doesn’t even like fighting, nor has he ever expressed the desire to learn more about the theory behind it. He should never be confused with someone who knows how to handle themselves in a real world fight against a trained opponent. In his own words --

I've been studing wushu for 30 years now and it was never my intention to engage in any physical combat, nor would I ever want to engage in any physical combat with my martial arts abilities.

I myself have never been in a fight in real life, nor do I wish to be in one. When someone comes up to me, threatens me, wants to challenge me - I do whatever is possible to avoid conflict.

In terms of Jackie Chan, he was trained in a Peking Opera School. He didn’t train to fight, he trained to entertain. Like Li, he trained for the purpose of aesthetics. Chan is an excellent stuntman, and (in his prime) quite an athletic specimen, but he wouldn’t have much of a clue how to actually fight. Putting on a show is one thing -- dealing with the chaotic, spontaneous and utterly erratic nature of real world combat is something else entirely, and it can be jarring for people who’ve never experienced it before, as well as horribly embarrassing when they either freeze or flail, both of which will get you sat down on your rear end against someone who knows even a moderate amount about how to defend themselves.

Now, although Bruce Lee is by no means an established fighter either, he still actively sparred with his students, studied the theory behind fighting in a great deal of depth, and trained for the sole purpose of being able to fight, as well as preached for others to do the same; to be able to injure someone seriously and quickly, or to be able to ‘endure’ if the fight stretched out. He stressed movements that actually had real world applications (the antithesis of Li’s Wushu) such as sidekicking to the shin/kneecap, or jabbing fingers in the eyes, and even biting, if necessary, all the while dabbling into effective (proven) fighting forms such as Boxing and Savate. You can observe all of this from his training notes gathered in The Tao of Jeet Kune Do.

Lee would have made quick work of both Li and Chan, make no mistake.

Ultimately, that wouldn’t prove much, anyway, as -- like I said earlier -- Li and Chan have other concerns in their training. Li stresses spirituality and having a distinct aesthetic ‘flavour’ of form, whereas Chan stresses comedy and jaw-dropping athletic skills/stunts.
