I think he means the fact that Deidara's bird managed to dodge Gaara's sand implies that it's supersonic.

Also if he went in a linear line the sand could have caught up, it's the fact that the bird was maneuverable that it was able to avoid the sand.

if you have not noticed, anime sucks most of the time at showing speed. by anime standards, gai is actually slower then many real life martial artists, judging from the clone fight.


the manga has already porven he makes them quite quickly.


for example, when sasuke pinned him to the dragon, as it was falling he managed to free himself, make a bird then escape on it before the dragon he was on hit the ground. either that was the slowest fall EVER, or deidara made the model very quickly.


hell, he even made the gigantic C2 dragon very quickly. one panel he is molding, the next there it is. you tyhink sasuke would have sat there and waited for like 5 mins while he did it?

I agree the guns/turrets/missiles would be a problem for Deidara, I'm not trying to reiterate the Guns>Narutoverse thing but I don't think he has shown anything to counter bullets/missiles.
