Ocean spirit has sharp water blades, if gamabunta can cut it the ocean spirit can too.

Well realize there is only so much water in that area to regenerate from and use as a weapon. A blast of air could push Aang out of the river and Aang would get weaken. But now that I think about it, The Avatar could just as easily use a water blade and get to Shukaku first. So it really matters who gets the fist hit.

He said Shukaka, so that means without Gaara obviously. He didn't saying a Gaara controlling Shukaka, just Shukaka.

Shukaka is definantly faster, he is more mobile on his feet. and his projectiles do some serious damage.

Anyways, all the Ocean Spirit did was attack some ships that would be smaller than Gamma's feats as well as them being less mobile and dangerous. He never showed much a speed feat. The Avatar inside would be killed anyways with one Sand bullet.

Agreed maybe in ocean spiri aang can't airbend.
He can still one hit ko by slash thrrough the head while air bullet wouldn't be able to kill aang. too massive, it would push him through the air for half an hour giving aang 29.30 more minutes than the ones he need to cushion his landing

Forests need huge amounts of water supplies, if the river isn't enough (wich seriously think it isn't, though it's more than plenty to generate the necessary water blades) the amount of water underground is just massive

I think it is a close fight. Of course, if the Shukaku gets enough sand to form, the Ocean Spirit should have enough water to form to its size seen in Avatar, and then it has the water in streams running through the forest. It can probably also draw water from groundwater and plants.

Wind bullets don't even penetrate Gamabunta's skin. They're not going to cause the Ocean Spirit to burst like a water balloon, at least not with just a few shots. Also, while the Ocean Spirit can only control water, Aang at the center still controls four elements, and can soften, if not completely stop, wind bullets. He probably didn't use it in the show because the Ocean Spirit had greater water control powers for the massive amounts of water around and there were no wind attacks coming at him anyway. So, while he may not attack with wind, he can certainly soften wind attacks.

That post is biased and Ocean spirit showed no durability, specially durability against this kind of stuff.

Uh, no. While the Ocean Spirit is indeed water-only, you fail to explain why Aang couldn't use some airbending while in it like I said. Stop the "channeler for the Ocean Spirit" argument, it's your own speculation.

The Ocean Spirit is a lot bigger than a bunch of trees, if you will notice. And since waterbending on a human scale has been able to absorb the impact of firebending blasts, a large body held together by waterbending could absorb a large softened wind "nuke". Also, since its arms can slice clean through metal, and they didn't look any different from the rest of the body, that suggests high durability of its water skin.

And even if the Ocean Spirit is burst, it's not the end. Several wind "nukes" may penetrate the Ocean Spirit, but they're not getting to Aang. And the Ocean Spirit can just reform after being hit, the water's still there. While if Shukaku gets wounded it stays wounded.

Not exactly. The Ocean Spirit was still active and killed Zhao without Aang.
