Seeing as the Narutoverse gets regularly curbstombed I decided to propose something that might be somewhat even in a challenge. Depending on how you look at it. Naruto vs. an old woman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granny_Weatherwax).

Naruto's abilities are well defined and known. However, I do not know how many read the Discworld series so I shall present a rough summary of Granny Esmerelda Weatherwax's shown abilities.

*She is an expert borrower, i.e. she can hop into the minds of other living things and nudge them to do her bidding.

After an accidental mishap forced her to experience flashes of memories of all her multi-verse equivalents she became the first to borrow into bees. This is significant because of Bees' hive mind you need to borrow every last bee of the hive. One bee doesn't work because of the hive and the hive isn't one mind.

If that doesn't impress you, a family of Vampires once bit her intent on making her a loyal follower. By time they realized what they did, through a variation of borrowing she reversed the connection and had the family craving biscuits and tea while no stronger than an average 80 year old woman.

She's also communicated with a country itself through borrowing and also borrowed into a University that was so old it developed a rough sense of self.

*Flying with a broom stick. Though it needs a good run to get it started. The needed speed/distance is roughly the length of a tower.

*Expert "headologist" - she once, with help, convinced a cat that it was human, which is spontaneously became. She is a famous doctor in Lancre by using placebos.

"The Sea and Little Fishes" is a short story that demonstrates Weatherwax's control of Headology. A up and coming New Age style witch decided Granny Weatherwax was too old fashion and asked her not to attend that year's Discworld witch competition. So she obliged and started being "nice". This was so out of character for her, espeacially going home after freaking the collective witch community that they all were unable to do much more than the most basic of noobies in terms of magic, and believed she cursed them. In reality she had done nothing of the sort, well except acting unusually nice.

When another witch tried using a vodoo doll on her, Granny Weatherwax took several pin strikes to get all attention on her, and to build up the attacking Witch's belief in the vodoo doll amplifying the connection making it two way. Then at the moment the other witch was about to strike a pin through the doll's heart, Granny Weatherwax stuck her arm into a torch using the connection set the doll on fire instead.

The said witch was powerful enough on headology to use the belief of her country to turn the zombie of the dead king into a deity/embodiment of the swamp itself.

*Ability to blend in with her surroundings - Not turn invisible. She just becomes so "still" you forget she is there, even to other witches. She can even do this while moving.

*Temporal magic - She once sent an entire kingdom, roughly the size of Manhattan if I recall correctly, 15 years into the future.

In "Maskerade" Granny Weatherwax caught a sword in her hand with ease without a wound, it seemed. In reality she just held the wound in "stasis" for a week until she felt she could deal with a large gash in her hand without trouble working.

Note, she did imply she didn't need to do that, but not allowing the wound to eventually happen would be a step down the wrong path.

*Power of stories - Only really came up significantly in "Witches Abroad", but in Discworld the citizens noticed, well certain citizens, old stories tend to try to live through beaten paths. When traveling Weatherwax and her group ran into a girl with a red hood, and proceeded to confuse her about how they knew she was visiting a sick grandmother.

She once won a game of poker by pretending to be an old woman who didn't know how to play, thus forcing the cliche of the helpless old woman beating all the conmen at their own game to work in her favor. However, she did nudge it along by shattering the big glass mirror behind the seat they suggested to take.

*Misc. Feats - She once set a log on fire by staring at it until it caught on fire out of being embarrassed.

She can open the door to the realm of Death, and has pulled at least one person back through.

Personality:

Imagine your typical evil hag of a witch. Now make her a good person, but with the same personality. Granny Weatherwax has expressed unhappiness that she has been unable to grow warts.

Rough exterior, but a softy at heart. She once took in a pet cat, but named it "You". As in "You get down from there." and "You leave that alone."

Most of the time she doesn't use her power to its full extent for two reasons. First, she knows what is right and wrong, and wrong usually is abusing power. Second, why do extra work?

Examples are the "power of stories", she considers that abusing power if used wrongly. Also, she has the power of changing people into animals, but she finds it saves trouble just making the people think she's changed them into animals, and it is also slightly more amusing to watch them hop away thinking they are frogs.

Conditions:

Location: Lancre, Granny's home turf to help balance out Naruto's raw power. His jutsus work as if he is in home universe.

Condition: Summoning jutsu gone wrong on Naruto's end, mid battle, so he is paranoid. Granny, prepared for the worse as other universal beings are rarely stopping by for a nice chat and tea, if you know what I mean.

Bloodlust: No, not immediately. Both on edge, but not out for blood at the start till they feel things out.

Victory condition: Incapacitation.

Time length: Three days, after that the Konoha nin figure out how to summon Naruto back, or what is left of him.

Pre-knowledge: Nothing for both until moment Naruto arrives in Lancre.

Note: If you think Naruto will summon Gamabunta or other frogs, then assume Granny will seek help from the rest of her coven.

Poll added simply to make it easier on the drive by readers since I actually am interested in the reponse of this thread. Naruto, I admit, in terms of raw power should tear her to shreds, but mentally with her magic I seriously thing she has a chance. Essentially, she has genjutsu on crack.

I'm sorry, it's just so long since I last read Discworld, I can't write up exactly how she'd beat him as I am now. At least not in a way that would do Granny justice.
